Purpose of The Law

I Do Not Understand What I Do

~ “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good. In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” Romans 7:14,15

God knows us better than we know ourselves. When a person tries to obey the Law, it simply causes more sin in a person’s life. And they will constantly be chasing the sin tiger by the tail. For no one can obey the Law. And that is the point of the law in the first place, in order to show us how utterly sinful we really are.

Serve God in the Spirit, Not by The Law

~ “Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God. For when we lived according to the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, bearing fruit for death. But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.” Romans 7:5-6

When a person becomes a child of God, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we are to serve God in a new way, by His Spirit living in us, guiding us in ALL Truth, and abiding in Him by Faith. ~ When a person comes to know the True Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live in them and gives them eternal life immediately. He makes us a new creature in Christ Jesus. Prior to that, we were all dead in our unbelief, and did not have the Holy Spirit living in us. After salvation, the Spirit comes to live in a person forever, and nothing can separate us from Him, NOT even ourselves. He makes us a new creature, where our spirit is merged with His Spirit, and we become a child of God forever.

Now a person who is in Christ Jesus has a choice. We can either choose to listen to the Holy Spirit living in us, and wants to teach us ALL Truth, or we can listen to our flesh, that wants to believe the Lies of Satan and the world. The problem we have today, is that we are so quick to listen to what Man has to say about things rather than listening to the Holy Spirit teach us TRUTH from the word of God. Most are not willing to listen to Truth, for they have their own ideas of righteousness instilled in them since birth. And Catholicism and Protestantism are two sides of the same religious con game. ~ Once you understand the Truth of Jesus in you, it’s easy to identify the lies of Satan and Man. How much sense does it make to do cannibalism, in a literal belief of drinking blood and eating flesh? Because that’s what is being taught today, and if that’s what a person believes, they are NOT saved. They are believing in another Jesus. Jesus made it crystal clear that the Lord’s supper was a picture of Christ in you, not a cannibalistic ritual to be repeated daily, as in what many many churches teach today. Furthermore, if somehow that wine and bread are turned into blood and human flesh, and a person eats it, then it’s going to go through a person’s digestive system and be eliminated from the body. A Closer Look at The Truth About Prayer

~ Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:9 The will of God is first and foremost we believe in Jesus. That’s the main thing that counts with everything. And once a person believes and places faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit enters into a person and brings eternal life to them immediately. From there, we are to abide in the the Holy Spirit. We are to listen to the Holy Spirit teach us all truth. And folks, there is much much truth that needs to be taught to all of us. Don’t ever think you know it all, because that is the flesh talking. The Holy Spirit will also show you the meaning of everything if you study and pay attention to the details. Jesus gave an example of a woman who never stopped pleading for justice to an UNJUST judge. The judge finally relented and essentially was tired of her pleadings, and so he granted her justice against her adversary.
