Your Sins Have Been Forgiven

Classic Christianity – Call-In Bob George P411 (02-01-19)

Welcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus.

Bob addressed common questions in the world today. “Can believers marry again after divorce?”, “What did Jesus teach in Matthew?”, “What should we do when we sin as believers?”, and “Have I committed the sin of blasphemy?” are the questions asked by several callers. The callers are asking essentially the same question. “What does it mean to walk by faith?” Bob explains the New Covenant we are living under as believers as a covenant of grace, same as a will or a testament, started when Jesus shed hi blood on the cross. By properly understanding Jesus as being a Jew and and Old Covenant, speaking about the New Covenant in the gospels, one can more easily discern the meaning of scriptures in their proper context. For example, why would Jesus say, “Be perfect as I am perfect?”. I know myself I could never perfectly obey the law. How many of you have gotten angry on the freeway when someone recklessly cut you off?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

In The Fellowship Saved

Classic Christianity – Encourage By Grace P1 (01-28-19)

Bob George shares from the Word of God to encourage believers by a message of grace. In part one of this three part series, Bob addresses the attitudes of faith. Let us begin now with the first four verses in Philippians 2.

By looking at just the first several verses, Bob explains what it means to be in fellowship with God. He further contrasts the Old Covenant under law with the New Covenant under grace, your new spiritual creation and identity in contrast to your inheritance in Adam, the ability to discern the things of God rather than leaning on your own understanding, and your freedom from death to life. Bob explains the root cause of sin, the consequences of sin, law contrasted with grace, and the grace of God resulting in a new freedom and attitude of thinking. He contrasts the attitudes of vain conceit and selfish ambition to the attitude of humility.

Philippians 2:1-4
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Growing in Grace

Classic Christianity – Call-In Bob George p409 (01-25-19)

Welcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus.

Proverbs 27:21
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by the praise they receive.

Many callers today called to thank Bob George for explaining truth. Bob responded in such grace and shared how he was in the crucible of testing throughout his ministry. Bob shared with humility and reiterated the main point that truth is what sets us free and error is what binds us, and really not any more complicated than that. Bob admitted where he did not know something and showed a teachable and humble spirit. For he himself, as we all are, are growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all continually being renewed in our minds by the Holy Spirit who lives in us and guides us into all truth, and that will continue until the day we die.

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever!… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Complete Forgiveness and Unconditional Love of Jesus Christ

Bob George TeachingBob George is speaking on the subject of the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 14-16, 10:10, Galatians 3:10, 6:13-14; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 5:9-10, 6:23, 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2 Corinthians 5:19 and 1 John 5:12 are scriptures he shares from God’s word. He addresses common misunderstandings of what was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross and how one is saved from eternal death and given new life.

If you are still under law, then you are under a curse (Galatians 3:10). The law states that cursed is everyone who does not continue to obey all that is written in the law (Galatians 3:10). So relying on circumcision or baptism or any other law cannot save anyone (Galatians 6:13-14, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:23a). He points people to the solution for sin in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23b). In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 1:7). Jesus became a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). Jesus really did take away the sins of the world (John 1:29) eternally for everyone when he died on the cross (Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 10:10) but that does not mean everyone is saved.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Bob George Teaching

Bob teaches out of the Book of Galatians, Chapter 6. Bob talks about the circumcised group (the Hebrews) and the uncircumcised group (the Gentiles). God doesn’t look at the outside of man but looks at what is going on the inside. Understanding it is a relationship with God that is important for every person.

Not Circumcision but the New Creation

“See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
