Jesus Reveals The Word of God Meaning

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P11 (12-08-21)

The Meaning of God’s Word Must be Revealed by the Holy Spirit

There have been many teachers down through the ages that tell you they will teach you what the word of God means. Yet the truth of the matter, only the Holy Spirit can truly teach you the meaning of the word of God.

When a person has been born again of the Spirit of God, they have the Holy Spirit living in them. The Holy Spirit will reveal the meaning of things to you. If God is revealing something to you in your daily life it will always match up to the word of God. God does not contradict Himself, nor is He the author of confusion.

Yet, those that do not have the Spirit of God living in them, will find the word of God to be foolish to them. They will discount what God says and justify their own evil behavior. They refuse to place their faith in Jesus, the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14
14 “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”

Jesus is Our Only Hope of Glory

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P10 (12-07-21)

The Mystery of the Fullness of the Gospel Revealed

The Apostle Paul reveals the mystery of the fullness of the Gospel to us in the word of God. God made it known to Paul, the fullness of the Gospel message, “Christ in You, the Hope of Glory.” He was given a commission directly by God, to pass this mystery onto the church down through the ages. It was for our sake, that Paul did what he did and the suffering he himself faced.

As a lost person, a person tries in the energy of their flesh to do the right things, and then a person realizes they can not be good enough or loving enough. They come to the end of self sufficiency, and come to know and accept Jesus for their salvation, Yet, so many times, after people come to Christ, they then try to do things in the energy of their own flesh. God lets us have a try at it. And then we also realize we still can not live in the energy of our flesh. Only God can live in and through us, and this not of ourselves, but through Christ Jesus who lives in me.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Reality of the Resurrection of Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P9 (12-06-21)

Understanding the Fullness of the Gospel

When learning about new things, we tend to learn it better and retain what we have learned when we hear something and see something. Also, when we say it out loud or teach others what we have learned, it reinforces it in our own mind of the truths being taught to us. Jesus even makes mention of this learning experience in the word of God.

For us today, learning the fullness of the Gospel message can be helped along by both hearing the word of God and seeing the word of God and saying the word of God out loud for ourselves too. This is where the Closer Look Bible Studies are so beneficial in teaching us the fullness of the gospel message. We hear it, we read it, we say it, and then we write it down too. We encourage you to pick up your copy of the Bible study booklets as we go through these studies together. As we have mentioned many times, these bible studies are excellent for private home studies, small group studies and even larger group settings.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Sin of The World is Unbelief in Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P8 (12-01-21)

Who is Going to Determine What is Right and Wrong? God or man?

Man is still trying to determine what is right and wrong in their own eyes today. People justify their own actions by saying to God, “I don’t need you God, I can determine right from wrong myself. God, you don’t know what you are talking about. This is just an alternative lifestyle, and is not sin.” Yet the word of God tells us that no one is righteous. No one does good. They do what is right in their own eyes.

Romans 3:10-12
10As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”

The Counsellor of God has been sent to us. The Holy Spirit is our Counsellor. When we repent of our sin of unbelief and accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to give us life. He gives us eternal life. Then the Holy Spirit helps us in our understanding of scriptures too.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Saved by Jesus Life

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P7 (11-30-21)

What is the Meaning of the Resurrection?

Many times a person will tell you that the meaning of Jesus’ death on the cross was for forgiveness, but when you ask a person the meaning of the resurrection of Jesus, they are likely to give you a blank look on their face. They may say that was what verified that He died on the cross for our sins, yet they don’t have a clue what His resurrection life is all about.

Salvation is life. And, if indeed Christ is not raised from the dead, then our faith is worthless. The resurrection is key for LIFE. The death of Jesus did not provide life. Jesus death provided forgiveness but the resurrected life brings life to you and me through faith in Him.

1 Corinthians 15:17
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

Hebrews 10:17
17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

Romans 5:10
10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

How to Live by Faith by Christ Jesus in You

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P6 (11-29-21)

For me to Live is Christ Jesus

When a person becomes a believer in Christ Jesus, they become born again, and the Holy Spirit comes to give life to the believer. The same life that raised Jesus from the dead is the same life that raises us from the dead when we place faith in Him.

Philippians 1:21
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

How to Live by Faith by Christ Jesus in You

Galatians 2:20
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Romans 8:11
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Classic Christianity and Bible Studies

The Holy Spirit is the same Spirit that lives in all believers. These are born again people. They are born of the Spirit.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
