Classic Christianity – Book of John p5 (10-22-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching truth from the book of John. Currently, he is teaching from John 3, where Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night, wanting to know more about him. Nicodemus was pondering in his heart: “Could this be the promised Messiah”? having seen or heard the miracles Jesus did that no man could do. Jesus came for one purpose, to restore lost humanity back in relationship with him. Do you know that those who are born again in Jesus Christ are now being trained and equipped by the indwelling Holy Spirit? Let us learn together, relying on the Holy Spirit to teach us from His word. And, if you are like Nicodemus, being darkened in understanding, listen to truth so you can be born again spiritually. So, how does the Holy Spirit train us as born again children of God? Are we not trained in truth, applying such truths to overcome fear and anxiety, to live different from the world, in a peace that surpasses understanding as we are being renewed in our minds. Who alone can teach you the things of the Spirit but the Spirit of God that dwells within you!… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p2 (10-15-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues his teaching from the book of John on the complete forgiveness and the love of God through Jesus Christ. Bob George shares to help the listener come to understand doctrine, particularly the concept of the trinity, as revealed through the book of John. He also shares from supporting scriptures to encourage the listener to internalize truths concerning Christ and yourself. His hope, and the hope of those in Christ, is for the listener to understand personally the forgiveness of sin and the receiving of new life in Christ. You can walk in that new life today. Bob emphasized again that truth is revealed to men through His word. There is no other way to understand the meaning of God’s word except by the Spirit of God.

Bob addresses such topics as knowing what the word of God means (doctrine), where the doctrine of the Trinity comes from, what does the Spirit look like, what do you believe and why do you believe it, the role of the Holy Spirit in teaching you the meaning of His word, the application of doctrine to your life, the conflict of the flesh and the Spirit, choices as a child of God, who can become a child of God, law and grace before Moses, law and punishment, atonement in contrast to the taking away of sin, who goes to hell and for what sin, judging others instead of seeing yourself in the light of Christ, unmet expectation of others, blindness of all men, darkness and light, cause of death and receiving of new life, the need of the cross, the forgiveness of sin, and the foundation of God’s love for you.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

10/10/2018 – Book of John – part 1
Introduction to the Book of John

Bob George TeachingBob George continues discussing the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ through the book of John. First, though he begins with a review of biblical interpretation. From 2 Timothy 3:16, he provides a framework of understanding what is meant by scriptures as being inspired by God. He explains that the original manuscripts are inspired and scriptures we have today are translations. Although translations are not inspired, they are translated from God’s inspired word of God into languages known by the reader. In particular, the Septuagint, a translation of the Old Testament Hebrew into Greek, often quoted by Jesus, is a trustworthy translation. Other translations exist today, and we have many in the English language so we can read in our own language.

2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Bob George also made a specific point to quote from the King James Version to explain how one needs to show proper discernment when reading from a translation since only the original manuscripts are inspired.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
