Classic Christianity – Book of John P25 (12-05-18)

Bob George continues teaching from the book of John. He is currently in John 7 where the religious leaders are trying to turn the crowd against Jesus and many of the Jews are not understanding and are divided concerning Jesus. Some say Jesus is the prophet. Others say Jesus is the Messiah. Some Jews who knew some facts from scripture lacked full understanding and so doubted Jesus being the Messiah. Jesus clearly explained who he was, that he came from Heaven. Jesus had a message to shared concerning his death, burial and resurrection. But more than than that. He also told them that he will return to His Father so that he can send the Holy Spirit to dwell in men. Bob explains more thoroughly with other supporting scriptures to explain the significance of the Holy Spirit taking residence in the lives of men. The religious leaders, as well as others, could only think in the natural realm. The religious leaders wondered what he meant by saying he is going away. Is he going away to a far away country? Jesus is going to die, be raised again, and return to His Father in heaven.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John P24 (12-04-18)

Bob George shares from the book of John beginning at John 7:25. What do people do to understand the bible? Do they rely on their own understanding, as the Jews did when Jesus spoke truth from heaven. So many people are confused about truth. The age old question people have asked is “What is truth?”. So do we need to study Greek to understand the bible but yet cannot find Christians in Greece. Do we need understand Hebrews but not all Hebrews are Christian. So do we need to go to seminary to learn hermeneutics or some system of theology? Why is there so much division of who Jesus is?

John 7:25-27
25 At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill? 26 Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah? 27 But we know where this man is from; when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”

Halfway through the Tabernacle Feast, Jesus made himself known. Before that people were confused about him, some saying he was a good man and others saying he deceives the people.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George, the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that will transform your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are studying John 5:19-30. Bob begins the lesson showing how modern day church organizations and denominations so often are not operating by the Spirit of God, with Jesus as the head, but as religious activities for God to bless. He presents several examples of religious activities and briefly retells the story of the religious Pharisees from yesterday’s sermon. He then re-explains the concept of the Trinity, with emphasis of how Jesus lived on earth in total dependence on His Father. Bob then further explains the function of the Holy Spirit in a believer. He particularly focuses on the role of the Holy Spirit as counselor, to help a believer to identify error in thinking, and replace such error with truth. Bob then further explains man’s most basic problem is not that he is a sinner, but that he is spiritually dead and in need of life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Bob shares insight into one question Jesus asked a man who was an invalid for over 38 years: “Do you want to get well?” Bob made several observations, the invalid’s attitude and initial unbelief, the invalid’s coming to believe, and the response of the religious leaders. Bob made a point to identify what religion does to keep people blind to truth and what a real relationship with Jesus does to change lives. Bob said that there is nothing more stupid than religion. Then Bob shares how the Holy Spirit living in you was modeled first by Jesus living as a man to show us how to live, to live totally dependent on God. Classic Christianity – Book of John p7 (10-24-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John. Bob shares what it means to born again, to have the Holy Spirit living in you, as John Baptist testified that Jesus would do. He also shares again some of the ways people have believed in error, following other doctrines and misplaced trust, believing in anything except Jesus Christ alone or even believing in Jesus plus something. Indeed, Jesus plus anything nullifies the finished work of Jesus Christ, and is really a false gospel one is believing. He also shares about those who only looked for what Jesus could do for them but had no change of heart, concerning who God is or even failing to recognize their own condition in sin to have a reason to come to believe. He shares a message Jesus told that should send chills to religious people who think so highly of themselves by the works they do, but fail to recognize Jesus and come to him for life and righteousness. Bob also shares the story in John concerning the testimony of a woman from Samaria, where you can see how a person comes out of darkness and into the light by hearing the words from the man from heaven, the words of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
