The Truth of 1 John 1:9

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P600 (01-21-21)

Synopsis

It is so important to speak truth in love, for that is how people are set free, with truth. So what hinders us from speaking truth? Is it not fear? And if we fear, where is our attention mostly on? Is it not on ourselves, in what we perceive we might lose or be hurt by others who may not think the same way we do, of the persecution we might receive by not telling the truth? What do you think happened in Nazi Germany, when people were afraid to speak out in truth? There is a time in which when people fail to live in accordance with what is true that freedom is taken away more and more, until before long the consequences are so severe, it is nearly impossible to ever gain your freedom back. What would happen to the black man in the days of slavery if courageous men did not speak the truth and had what were truly peaceful protests back then, unlike what people falsely claim as peaceful protests today, with buildings on fire in the background, yet calling it peaceful. Such men of hypocrisy, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Is Prophecy Fulfilled

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P19 (11-16-20)

Synopsis

As we resume our study in A Closer Look at Jesus Christ, in Chapter 6: Biblical Prophecies about Jesus Christ, we look at various prophecies of the Old Testament prophets, who lived over 700 years before the birth of Christ, and whose prophetic words were written down for us. These men could not have had such knowledge on their own, but the Holy Spirit of God revealed to them future events in history that would be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. They were told to record these things down for future generations to observe and then later be read through those who were eyewitnesses of these things, who wrote down the actual fulfillment of the event.

The eyewitnesses, the New Testament disciples and apostles, who ate and drank and walked on the earth with Jesus, heard the very spoken words of Jesus and observed all that He did and said in fulfillment of those prophetic writings of the Old Testament prophets. They wrote down what they saw and heard. All this was done so that the person of Jesus Christ might be revealed to mankind as to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Who Do You Say I Am

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 24 (05-22-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George shares from John 5, on the testimony of the Father concerning Jesus. Bob emphasized the life of the Holy Spirit living in a person, producing the fruit of the Spirit. That ultimately is the work Jesus came to do. One characteristic of the Spirit is love (Galatians 5:22-23). Then he shares from 1 Corinthians 13, explaining how Jesus came to expose the pride in man, that he may humble himself, recognize his state of spiritual death, and come to walk in the newness of life, with the Spirit of God living in him. The opposite of love is not hate, but pride. As a born again person, Jesus is showing us today how to live in dependence on the Holy Spirit of God. He is the vine and we are the branches. We love because he first loved us. Allow the love of he Holy Spirit to be produced in you and through you.

Bob George shares from John 5 on the testimonies of Jesus. We have read about his early life and his public ministry, his miracles, the testimony of John the Baptist, and where Jesus identified himself … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

True Repentance

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 7 (04-15-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues sharing truth from the gospel of John. Bob titled this message, “Are you prepared or are you scared?”

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but fear not [or be of good cheer] ; I have overcome the world.

It is not if you will have tribulation but when you will have tribulation. Each of us will face one or two or more tribulations. But rapture or death will come to all men. To many of us, death will come first. You will be absent from the Lord or separated from Him forever. If separated from God in death, then you will be in a place of eternal damnation along with Satan and his demons.

In this world you are going to have tribulation. Many people spend much time preparing for the things of this world. As you get older, there are those who prepare for retirement? As you are young, you prepare for a career path, by going to a trade school, working as an apprentice, or going to college for … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Took Away the Sins of the World

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 6 (04-10-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George shares from John 2 about the miracle of water turned to wine. This was Jesus first miracle when he started his public ministry at age 30. Many have heard what John had spoken concerning Jesus as the Messiah. They heard him say, “behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” When they saw this miracle there were those who believed in him. For no one can do what he did.

Bob also shared several passages in the synoptic gospels showing that Jesus had brothers and sisters. John 2:12, Matthew 13:55-56, Mark 3:31-32, John 7:1-6, and Mark 3:20-21 all record that Jesus had brothers or sisters. How important it is to stand firm in the word of God for truth and not rely on the traditions of men. When people deny what is so clearly stated and obvious in the scriptures, then what other errors are people willing to believe. That is the case with Catholic teaching that claims Mary was always a virgin and also that Mary is a co-redeemer with Jesus. That is heretical teaching. Such teaching is not found in the word … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
