Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 4 (04-08-19)

Bob George continues teaching from the book of John. He briefly shares from the gospel of Matthew to provide further information. John the Baptist came with an appeal to men to change your mind. So too is the same appeal for the hearts of men today concerning truth in regards to what you have been trusting for salvation. Are you depending on anything you can do to be in the presence of God? Then change your mind. All of Jesus and none of me. This is a personal decision between you and God. Do you believe what the bible says as revealed by Jesus Christ, the word of God? What does He want you to believe? Truth.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You cannot say you are a believer in Christ and still go to a priest. You cannot say you are a believer in Christ and rededicate your life and commit to keeping short accounts with God. Do you say, “I am the initiator and He is the responder?” Is that true? No.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P415 (2-15-19)

Bob answers some basic foundational questions callers asked on salvation as it relates to baptism, salvation, forgiveness of sin, and righteousness. Bob shares several passages of scriptures for each caller, showing from God’s word the truth they needed to ponder, so they can walk in that truth. Bob explained the meaning of scriptures to them so they could grasp the concepts that the Spirit spoke through him that he discerned they lacked in clarity of understanding. The callers asked sincere questions with a heart attitude of wanting to know truth. You can sense in how they asked that they really wanted to know truth and in their current walk in life these truths were being formed in them.

Bob clears up a little confusion Cletis had on what baptism is based on false teaching he was hearing from various things he has heard from new church he was attending. Leadership there were telling him that he should be baptized again. There is water baptism and there is spiritual baptism. There is water baptism, a symbol or picture of what Christ accomplished for us, but does not save you. It is only a picture of what happened.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Bob George (12-19-18)

Bob George continues to share from Luke 1 where doctor Luke provides a detailed account from eyewitnesses concerning the events and circumstances surrounding the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ so one can have certainty of these things (Luke 1:1-4). All the gospel writers wrote things down so that man may come to believe in the finished work Jesus Christ came to do and to have life in his name. But Luke, in particular, provided much details that reveals how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets through what the angel Gabriel had spoken to Zechariah and Mary, and what the Holy Spirit spoke through Zechariah and to Elizabeth after their child was born. From Luke’s account, Bob shared what it means to walk in faith, what a prayer life looks like, what God looks for in the hearts of men, what a true leader looks like, and what really is the message concerning Jesus Christ. Bob appeals to men to receive new life that Jesus came to give. How blessed are those who believe in what the Lord has said! Bob emphasized that you are blessed not by what you do but what you believe in regards to Jesus Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John-p3 (10-16-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues with his study on the book of John, sharing truth from God’s word that transforms lives with a message of God’s amazing grace. He is now in John 2, and mentions why certain events are in the other synoptic gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke, but not in John. The major focus on John is on the love of God so one will not read about the detailed account of Jesus temptation in the wilderness in John as in the other synoptic gospels. Bob highlights certain events recorded in John concerning in the early life of Jesus, such as the miracle at the wedding in Cana and clearing the temple. Bob emphasized the miracles of Jesus and mentioned it was vital to have proper understanding of the Jews response. Even though many believed in his name, Jesus would not entrust himself to them for he knew what was in a man (John 2:24). Bob asked the question that because they believed in his name, seeing the miracles, does that mean they were saved? Bob mentioned some other topics, such as drinking wine and virgin birth, that are commonly discussed in religious circles.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
