Classic Christianity – Bob George Thanksgiving p2 (11-22-18)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Bob George Classic Christianity radio with Bob George, the clear and timeless teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ as you learn about God’s amazing love. Bob shares from Romans 12:9-21 what love looks like in action. He cites examples of what we tend to do in the flesh as a contrast so we can better understand God’s way of love. This passage shows us God’s righteousness. Bob then shares that instead of looking to the law to manufacture love, which is impossible to do, we should look to the grace given us in Christ Jesus so this love can be produced in us. He shares how one can inquire of the Lord of your need of love and desire to love others so that He can live in and through you. He reminds us of the proper biblical understanding of Romans. Romans is a contrast between law and grace, showing us the purpose of the law, and how misused its purpose, being made it a means of righteousness instead of a means of showing your sinfulness. Then he points people to look more closely at … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Call-In Bob George p390 (11-02-18)

Call-In-Bob-George-p390 (11-02-18)

Bob George RadioBob George, with over 30 years with Classic Christianity Radio, answers calls by listeners, sharing truth to encourage and help those walk in new freedom. In this episode, Andy asked a question about the role of the 10 Commandments in the life of a believer, Cletis asked clarification on 1 Corinthians 12:27, if all gifts listed are still operational today, and the last caller, Dean, shared amazing news of the change in his nephew and sister. Lives are being changed as people replace truth with error.

Bob George answers Andy’s question in regards to the proper application of the 10 commandments by sharing truth revealed in scripture. In Galatians 3:19-24 is where we learn about the purpose of the law.

Galatians 3:19-24

19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.

21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Ricky asked can unusual question, mostly out of his excitement from reading Revelation and prophecy, but he was incorrectly reading more into scripture than warranted that seemed to pull him into a direction of being unproductive and unfruitful in the … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Complete Forgiveness and Unconditional Love of Jesus Christ

Bob George TeachingBob George is speaking on the subject of the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 14-16, 10:10, Galatians 3:10, 6:13-14; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 5:9-10, 6:23, 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2 Corinthians 5:19 and 1 John 5:12 are scriptures he shares from God’s word. He addresses common misunderstandings of what was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross and how one is saved from eternal death and given new life.

If you are still under law, then you are under a curse (Galatians 3:10). The law states that cursed is everyone who does not continue to obey all that is written in the law (Galatians 3:10). So relying on circumcision or baptism or any other law cannot save anyone (Galatians 6:13-14, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:23a). He points people to the solution for sin in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23b). In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 1:7). Jesus became a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). Jesus really did take away the sins of the world (John 1:29) eternally for everyone when he died on the cross (Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 10:10) but that does not mean … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Bob George TeachingBob teaches out of the Book of Galatians, Chapter 6. Bob talks about the circumcised group (the Jews) and the uncircumcised group (the Gentiles). God doesn’t look at the outside of man but looks at what is going on the inside. Understanding it is a relationship with God that is important for every person.

Not Circumcision but the New Creation

“See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
