What Does Repentance Mean in the Scriptures?

~ We repent of our unbelief in Jesus and believe in Him for salvation. When we change our mind (repent), the Holy Spirit gives us eternal life at that very moment in time.

“Repentance in the Bible, as we’ve kind of mentioned before, is a very strong word. We have watered it down like we do the word Christian and everything else would then have a meaning to it. And so repentance is the same way. It’s a very, very strong word. It is used in the Scriptures only as it relates to salvation, because you’re talking about a total change of identity, you’re not talking about I’m smoking but I’m going to repent and quit smoking, because you could start again. A Warning For All: The god and Prince of This World is Satan

~ Do not give lip service to this in the word of God in regards to who is in charge of this world. We all tend to gloss over the truth of the word of God as it pertains to this. But make no mistake about who is directing all the actions that we currently are witnessing in the world today. Most are blind to this fact and scripture even tells us that! And marvel not that people, through the demons have also become ministers of righteousness.

Why don’t more pastors and teachers teach the truth of 1st John 1:9 today? Because it is not popular.

“There’s a number of teachers that agree with us on 1st John 1:9, but will not teach it because of denominational pressure. You don’t become, you don’t become popular. And this so called world, Christian world, by teaching a Christian bar soap is not a bar soap. And we have grabbed a hold of something there that God never intended us to grab a hold up, but to the people who study the original language with a sincere and open heart, as I had the challenge, ultimately got my Greek understanding of that by going to the the number one teacher of Greek at the Dallas Theological Seminary, and then ultimately going to the teacher in Greece himself. “The New Covenant is like a will or a testament, you got an Old Testament, you have a New Testament, a will or a testament does not go into effect until the one who made it dies. And that’s why in Hebrews, it talks about the fact that a will does not go into effect until the one who made it dies. It never goes into effect, while the one who made it is living. So the New Covenant went into effect at the death of Jesus. Now, if that’s the case, which indeed it is, because he fulfilled the old, by walking in perfect love and love is the fulfillment of the law. Understanding the Word of God in Context is So Important

~ “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

~ So often, people will take things out of context from the word of God and try to say that there are contradictions in the word of God, failing to realize that things are written from different perspectives. Timing and sequences of events are important to consider also.
