Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P37 (01-18-21)

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?

Do we keep looking for a sign and a wonder but never come to faith in Christ, looking for only those things of this world, that are temporary and do not last? Do we look beyond the physical miracle and see that the greater miracle is when someone comes to new life in Christ Jesus?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

We Have The Mind of Christ Jesus

Classic Christianity – Christmas P1 (12-21-20)

Synopsis

In this world, we can begin to see terrible events unfold. We can certainly see clearly this conflict between good and evil. The degree of that will depend, to some extent, what exposure you have to sources of information concerning current world events, for there is also so much fake news and misinformation.

Nevertheless, we tend to see these horrible things happening as something unusual, yet the Lord tells us that evildoers will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. We tend to forget what the Lord has told us, and can let ourselves be overcome with fear. But God tells us to keep our focus on Him, to continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of. Of all people, we, as children of God, should hold out hope. We should testify of the hope we have within us. We should be full of joy and peace, as we allow God, who is living in us, to bear that fruit in our lives.

But we all need encouragement. We are instructed to meet with like-minded believers, and all the more so, as we see the time of the end of the age approaching.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is The Resurrection and The Life - Believe in Him

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P25 (12-07-20)

Synopsis

Let us now look more closely at the crucifixion, that period of time in history where Jesus died, was buried and three days later rose again. Many people focus so much on the birth of Christ, and nothing wrong with that, and we thank God for his birth. And we even have a holiday where that is the primary focus. But from God’s vantage point that is not the most important focus. God came to do something, that if we do not fully comprehend the meaning, we miss out, putting it mildly, on what we so desperately need, eternal life.

The death, burial and resurrection are the fundamental elements of the gospel, the message of good news, that Paul addressed in his letter to the Corinthians. The true dividing line of human history is the cross, dividing history from under the law, under an Old Covenant, before the cross, to being under grace, under a New Covenant with mankind, after the cross. God has established a new will, a new covenant, with man, with an eternal inheritance, to those who are in his will, and that by faith in Him, receiving what He came to give you, eternal life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Faith in Jesus by Hearing

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P552 (07-10-20)

Synopsis

Sometimes we can get all bogged down worrying about whether someone is going to be saved. We shared the truth with him and we want him to be saved. But we have to learn what God’s role is and what our role is. One man waters, another plants, but God causes the growth. Ultimately, man has a free will. There are people who have heard the message of the gospel, but they do not want it. They are stubborn. We cannot make anyone want to listen. It is their free choice. It does no good to get all worried about that. Indeed, worry is sin. So let it go. Shake the dust off your feet and move on. Acknowledge that that worry is sin, praise God for His forgiveness of sin already, and thank Him for His great mercy and kindness to you.

Many times people do not understand what salvation is. Salvation is being saved from the consequence of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is life, eternal life. But people think salvation is getting sins forgiven, and stop there at the death of Christ but do not move on into the empty tomb to the resurrected Christ, to receive the life that raised him from the dead.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

A Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P539 (05-28-20)

Synopsis

From time to time, is it not wonderful to hear encouragement from those who are helped by hearing truth from God’s word, as you were able to participate in the divine nature, allowing God to speak through you? There is no greater joy, Paul says, than to see my children walking in the truth. At times, we can grow weary, but God promises that His word does not return void, and God never forgets the labor of love you do in the Lord. Even Enoch speaks even though he is dead, the testimony of God, of what faith in God is all about. Think about it. Enoch was a man noted by his faith, and faith is what pleases God. Enoch did not face death, but God took him up, and he was no more, for God took him to be with Him, for scripture says he pleased God. God is taking all of us to be with Him one day, and all of our troubles, trials and tribulations will cease. Does it not help you see that for the joy set before Christ endured the cross, scorning it’s shame?

Right now, many of us long for our loved ones, family members, to come to Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Bob George Quotes 9
Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P517 (03-05-20)

Synopsis

Listen today as Bob addresses the common questions that are still asked today. The practical issues people struggle with today are answered with the message of the totality of the cross, of being made complete in Christ by believing the complete message of the gospel. There are questions that people in church ask, such as what about the unpardonable sin or falling away after hearing truth, as in an improper understanding of Hebrews, where people think they can lose salvation. There are questions asked, even church-going people, such as whether premarital sex is sin. There are questions people ask about the second coming of Christ, but are getting tripped up over simple things they have heard that are simply not true. People have either not come to Christ in the first place or have not grown in the Lord. Why is that? They do not take the time to allow the Holy Spirit to teach them truth through His word. The only way truth is revealed to men is through the Holy Spirit. Those without the Holy Spirit cannot discern the things of God. Sadly, many people are hearing a half gospel.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
