Heaven is Jesus
Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P511 (02-13-20)

Synopsis

The Jews have been taught all their life from the Old Testament scriptures by the rabbis, but many of the religious leaders in their day did not understand the purpose of the law. They taught the laws as a means of righteousness. They also added traditions of men, which God never approved, and which Jesus pointed out their error. How hard it is for people today to receive truth, when they have been taught wrong from their religious traditions, whether Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. You do not know you are taught wrong. You hear an explanation from a Protestant or Catholic religious leader, but you do not know why Jesus died, was buried and rose again, for you. Listen, as Bob George, through simply reading the scriptures in its entirety, and in its context, explains what Jesus meant when he said, in John 6:52 and following, “you must eat my body and drink my blood”. This is such a passage of scripture that has been reinforced by those who have been raised Catholic that at the communion mass, when the priest raises the wafer, that it becomes the literal body and blood of Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

New Bodies For Christians
Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P510 (02-07-20)

Synopsis

Many times callers call into the Classic Christianity radio to get answers to common questions, get clarifications or Bob’s thoughts on things they have heard from others, things that just does not sound right or the practical application of living in the new life you have in Christ Jesus. Many times, when you have a basic foundation in truth, these questions can easily be answered. If you know that you are under a New Covenant system of grace and not under the Old Covenant or law, and you know what salvation is, and what Jesus accomplished for you by his death, burial and resurrection, most of these questions can be answered. Bob made it a point to say that if you put a few basic foundation truths together, such as what salvation is, salvation is by life not death (Romans 5:10), that righteousness is imputed to you (Romans 4:22-25), you do not have any righteousness of your own (Romans 3:10) and Jesus taught under an Old Covenant while proclaiming the New Covenant (Hebrews 7:27; Hebrews 10:14-18), you are under grace and not law (Romans 6:14), then all the findings that you are looking for begin to come together like putting together a puzzle of life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Only by Faith

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P37 (02-03-20)

Synopsis

What do you ponder over that Jesus did for us, who made us into one body of believers in Christ Jesus? Are you in Christ Jesus? Then you cannot help but say, “Thank you, Jesus”. Can you grasp the magnitude of His love for you? You who once had a heart of stone, have now been given a heart of flesh, a heart that expresses love toward others because of the love poured into you by Christ Jesus. Gratitude of heart is what expresses itself in love in a person who is born again, with the Spirit of God living in him, as He grows in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What trials and tribulations, famine or sword, danger or hardship or persecution, have you already gone through? Did God ever leave you or forsake you during those times? No, it is in those times our roots go deeper into Christ Jesus. We learn the depth of His love for us. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. In those deepest days of despair, longing to be with Him, feeling you cannot bear one more day on this earth, the pain so great, but Jesus is right there.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is The Resurrection and The Life

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P36 (01-29-19)

Synopsis

Have you come to grasp the love of God that is in Christ Jesus? If you are in Christ Jesus, allowing Him to renew your mind with truth, the truth shall set you free. Sadly, so many believers have not studied the word of God for themselves, and have kept listening to error from the pulpit. If someone tells you that God will get you if you sin, is that true? No. God has taken away your sins, never to be seen again from the eyes of God. And that was done at the cross. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. But do you see how a little error here and there, keeps you from walking in freedom. Who will boldly go to the throne of grace in your time of need, thinking God is mad at you or is punishing you?

Another serious error is thinking salvation is getting your sins forgiven. I do not think anybody wants to go to hell. So, sure, I will say thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins. But, someone thinking that, is he really saved? If he did not come to Christ for life, he is not!… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Faith Says Thank You to God

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P15 (11-20-19)

Synopsis

Have you ever tried to share the gospel with those who have been taught from their traditions hundreds of years? How hard it is to tell someone that everything they have been taught is wrong! So many people today are still approaching righteousness with God based on what they do. This is the same thing Paul faced sharing truth with the Jewish people. They claimed they believed in Moses and have Abraham as their father. The Jews took offense at the fact that the Gentiles, the heathen, idol worshiping Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have received righteousness, and yet they, who work at obeying the law, have not received righteousness from God. Why not? They pursued a righteousness as if by works of the law and not by faith.

So Paul appeals to the Jews, those of his own race and upbringing, to consider what Abraham believed? Abraham believed God and his faith was credited to him as righteousness, and that before the law was given, before he was even circumcised. In those days, circumcision is not unlike baptism of today. It was a sign of someone’s faith. The sign of someone’s faith in God for those in the Old Testament was the sign of circumcision.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

You Have Been Forgiven by God

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 72 (09-16-19)

Transcript

Reconciliation requires total forgiveness, not partial.

Luke 23:34
34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Do you think the Father answered that prayer? Christ died for sins, how many times? Once.

Hebrews 9:22
22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Is there any more shedding of blood? No. Will he come back and die again? No. He died once and for all.

1 Peter 3:18
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Colossians 2:13-14
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

Romans 7:6
6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
