Eternal Life is Found in Christ Jesus

“But now he’s introducing to us the fact of eternal life in Christ Jesus, that this is the record that God has given us eternal life. And this life is any Son, and who has the Son has life. And who does not have the Son of God does not have life. It’s a cut and dried situation, folks, it’s, it’s not even a religion. It’s an extremely practical thing that God did for us. He says, if you need life, then you’re dead. And until we see our spiritual death, why would we ever come to him for spiritual life? If we’re not hungry, why would we come to Him for bread? True Agape Love Comes From God

~ “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4:7,8

“In chapter 13, he says, I’m going to show you a more excellent way. Because guys, the opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is pride. That’s the opposite. Love is patient. Pride is never patient. Love is kind. Pride is never kind. Is it? Love never keeps records of wrongs. Pride can’t afford not to keep records of wrongs. In case you get a little one upmanship on me, I got my record of you to get back at you. There are some people that you can never criticize that they’re not going to put it right back on you. Have you ever known people like that? That you say, Well, you know, you did. this. Oh, that’s what you do too. Got even with them that time. Jesus Asks Each of Us, “Who Do You Say I Am?

~ “He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Matthew 16:15

“And so he was saying here that you diligently searched the scriptures. You know what the Scriptures say. And you think that by them, you possess eternal life, but he said, these are the Scriptures that testify about Me. And yet you refuse to come to me and receive or to have what? Life, you refuse to have life. So in other words, Jesus again is saying that life is found in me. You may come as we’re going to see a little later you may come to follow me to get fed, you may come to follow me to get a miracle. You may follow me to get healed. You may follow me to get blessings. But you have not come to me to get what you don’t have, life. And again, it’s the whole emphasis of salvation is life. Come unto me and receive life. Why? “Jesus didn’t come to convert people to a Christian religion, any more than he came to convert people to a Muslim religion, he came to convert people to Himself as the only means enabling a person to go into the presence of God alive spiritually. And in order to do that, he for the entire world, he came for the entire world, and went to a cross and took upon himself the sins of the entire world. Whether a person is a Muslim, or a Catholic or Christian is irrelevant. The issue is you’re a person and you’re born into this world dead spiritually, that has nothing to do with religion. It’s just a condition that you’re born into this world and as a result of Adam’s fall. And so death has to be corrected if God was going to correct that he didn’t have to get left us all dead spiritually. ~ “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

~ “The good news of the gospel, it’s finished, we have been reconciled to God, God’s part. All of this is from God who was reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting man sins against them. What’s our part? We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. He said, here’s the one part and Corinthians Second Corinthians, he’s saying, this is of God, this is what God did. I reconciled you unto myself, not counting your sins against you. And then in five passages later he has to beg us to be reconciled.
