Understanding the Word of God in Context is So Important

~ “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” ^{1 Corinthians 15:3,4}

~ So often, people will take things out of context from the word of God and try to say that there are contradictions in the word of God, failing to realize that things are written from different perspectives. Timing and sequences of events are important to consider also.

~ “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. If You Are In Christ Jesus, You Are In Him Forever (Eternal Life)!

~ “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” ^{1 John 5:13}

~ When you have the Son of God, Jesus, you HAVE ETERNAL LIFE! Eternal life begins the very moment you accept Jesus and place faith in Him. Don’t let anyone try and convince you that you can lose eternal life.

~ “Put on the helmet of salvation. Where’s the helmet go? on your head. In other words, put that helmet on and keep it on. Another word of saying that, don’t ever let someone put a doubt in your mind as to your salvation in Christ Jesus, if you’re in Christ Jesus brother, you are in Him for ever. And that’s one thing that Satan tries to shoot the arrows. Oh no, it’s temporary. You can lose it, you better watch your P’s and Q’s because you can lose it. Put on The Full Armor of God!

~ “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” ^{Ephesians 6:10,11}

~ “God tells us you might want to turn with me to the book of Ephesians six. And God tells us in Ephesians, six, beginning in verse 10. Finally he says, Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, not just one piece of it, but the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil schemes. Folks, we are in a spiritual warfare. These wars we’re fighting, it’s a spiritual warfare. People say it’s not a religious nonsense. It’s a spiritual warfare of evil fighting good. The Word, Jesus Became Flesh

~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. We Are Under the NEW Covenant of Grace Not the Old Covenant of the Law

~ “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” ^{Hebrews 9:15}

~ Thank God, He is NOT counting my sins against me!

~ “And we’re told in Hebrews. Let me just read, it’s hard to read when you’re in the wrong chapter, Hebrews 9:15, do you want to turn to it. For this reason He is the mediator of a New Covenant in order that since a death had taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of in eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. So what did Jesus have to do before he got usher in a New Covenant, a new agreement between God and man. The Holy Spirit Reveals the Meaning of the Word of God

~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching [doctrine], for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” ^{2 Timothy 3:16}

~ It’s so vitally important for us to understand that without the Holy Spirit of God living in us, we cannot understand the meaning of the Word of God.

~ “But what it means has to be taught by the Holy Spirit of God into our lives today. And if we do not depend upon the Spirit to teach us what it means, we are not going to know what it means. Do we know what it says? Absolutely. You can read it and know what it says. A computer knows what the Bible says. Anybody who reads it knows what it says the issue is, what does it mean? Now we’re told in the epistles, that no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor mind is conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love Him. But it must be what? revealed by who?
