When We Are In Christ, Christ is In Us, Giving Us His Eternal Life!

~ When a believer in Christ Jesus dies, they are absent from the body and present with the Lord. We live by faith from first to last. As we grow in the grace of God, we learn more and more about Him. Eternal life begins the very moment you accept Jesus. Salvation is Life, His life coming to live in you for ever and ever. The cross took away all of our sins. He did not cover sins, he took it away. Because sin is no longer being counted against us, nothing can separate His eternal life from us when we have received Him. God wants you to know you have Eternal Life!

“Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-9

Forgiveness Does Not Bring Life, Only Life Brings Life to the Dead

~ There are folks that teach that everyone will be saved in the end. If that were the case, then you could throw away the entire Bible. You could ignore all the verses of scripture that teach us to believe in Christ Jesus to be saved. Yet people, mainly due to a confusion in understanding of what salvation is (Life), and they think salvation is getting their sins forgiven. They equate forgiveness with life, instead of understanding that Life, the Holy Spirit is given to a person when they accept Jesus and what He did for them on the cross. Many refuse to come to faith in Jesus, and thus are not saved. God does not force people to accept Him for salvation.

Saved by the Baptism of The Holy Spirit Not Water Baptism – You Must Repent of Your Unbelief and Believe in Christ Jesus

In today’s Classic Christianity Radio program Bob discusses baptism of the Holy Spirit vs water baptism. Only baptism by the Holy Spirit, making a person born again of the Spirit, is the only way salvation takes place. Water baptism doesn’t do anything for you except get you wet.

Another caller called in about forgiveness of sins and the fellowship issue. Fellowship is always in the fellowship saved or out of the fellowship lost.

Then there was another caller that wondered about Acts 18:24-28 in regards to being saved by baptism vs baptism of the Holy Spirit and altar calls. Bob’s answer brings additional insights on to what was happening in the book of Acts at that point in time, in that some had not even heard of baptism of the Holy Spirit. They only had heard of John the Baptist, water baptism, pointing toward the One that would take away all their sins on the cross. She wanted to share her appreciation with Bob in regards to a recent radio program in dealing with people with cancers and the fears that doctors are instilling into their patients. It’s also important to remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and further to remember that we are all going to be absent from the body and present with the Lord for all those in Christ Jesus. Listen in as Bob and Ann discuss what is going on with doctors today. Nothing has changed, and if anything things have gotten worse. We need to be prepared for the crises that are sure to come into our lives, and it is vitally important that we understand who we are in Christ Jesus and the word of God. So many times, people are not prepared for crisis, because they do not even know the word of God.
