Jesus Said Father Forgive Them

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P124 (06-26-24)

Jesus Said, “Father Forgive Them, For They Do Not Know What They Do.”

~ The religious world teaches backwards forgiveness, based on asking God to forgive them their sins. Yet Jesus prayed to the Father at the cross and said, “Father Forgive Them, for they do not know what they do.” So you have to ask yourself the question, If Jesus is God (and He indeed is God), do you think the Father answered Jesus’ prayer? Of course the prayer was answered, for the sins of the whole world were removed from the eyes of God, and is no longer counting anyone’s sins against them. Of course most people don’t believe it. They continue believing the lies of their church, Catholic, Protestant, or other, it doesn’t matter, they ALL call God a liar every day of the week. And that’s what the whole book of Hebrews is about. Understanding the finality of the cross. Yet people refuse to believe it, even after being given the word of God. And people are even afraid to call out the lies, because they will say, “I don’t want to get into a religious argument with … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Took Away Your Sins on The Cross

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P123 (06-25-24)

Quit Making a Mockery of the Cross

~ We live in a world where everything is backwards. Most people think God is a giant vending machine. They place their quarters into it, and put their requests into God for this or that. They even do it thinking they are getting their sins forgiven today. And it doesn’t matter whether a Catholic teaching of the confession booths, or a Protestant teaching of virtual confession booths. Both are calling God a liar. And both are teaching the lies of Satan. Quit listening to them. Quit calling God a liar. Quit making a mockery of the cross. That is the biggest sin imaginable. Most do not understand God’s love for us. Most do not understand God’s completed forgiveness. Most walk around in unbelief. And most listen to the teaching of Man rather than God.

~
Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13

"And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, as also in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

Forgive Others as Jesus Forgave You

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P122 (06-24-24)

Forgive as the Lord Forgave You

~ Once we understand the forgiveness of God that He extended toward us, then we can begin to extend that same forgiveness onto others. Put away the fleshly pride, and let it go. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. This is especially true in marriages, where we tend to let things get us bent out of shape, when the truth is we should look past those things and love one another as Christ Loved us. Many times, we have no idea what is going on with the other person, and we tend to think only about ourselves. We don’t consider the trials and tribulations that others are facing, and the things that are hurting them. So be kind to one another, extend grace to one another, forgive each other as Jesus has forgiven you. And consider others more important before ourselves. Maybe a person is hurting inside more than we realize, or fearful of situations they are in, work related, parenting, and even the stress of life. And remember, if you are in Christ Jesus, He is living in you, and wants to use you as … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Forgive as the Lord Forgave You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P858 (08-04-23)

Are We Supposed to Pray The Lord’s Prayer Today?

~ The Lord’s Prayer was answered by the Father when Jesus prayed it as an example of how to pray. Yet today, people repeat the prayer over and over and over again, the Catholic’s saying it with their rosary beads and in their masses, and the Protestants repeat it also in their services as though they think God is pleased with us when we say the Lord’s prayer again and again. Most people never really give a second thought to what they are doing and what they are saying. They don’t have a clue that Jesus taught under the Old Covenant, and certainly don’t understand that the New Covenant began at His death on the cross. In fact, most stop at the wrong place with the Lord’s prayer in itself and don’t even know what the ending of it really is, nor do they understand the warning of what forgiveness was like under the old covenant. And this is why there is such a misunderstanding of the word of God today. People don’t go on to the NEW, of forgiving one another … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Said to the Father Forgive Them

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P42 (05-10-23)

Jesus Said, “Father Forgive Them They Don’t Know What They Are Doing.”

~ Jesus spoke to the Father all the time. And we know that everything He did was the Father telling him to do it, and everything He said was the Father telling Him to say it. So when we see that Jesus spoke to the Father from the cross and said to “forgive them,” you can rest assured that God did indeed forgive them at the cross. For Jesus forgave (past tense) the sins of the whole world at the cross.

~ Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.” Luke 23:34

~ Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. Propitiation - Jesus Took Away the Sins of the World

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P702 (01-21-22)

God Has Forgiven You of All Your Sins!

John called from Phoenix. He had a question in regards to the blessed assurance. He was worried about one particular verse of scripture. It scared him to think God may say, ‘I never knew you’ based on some of his sins.

Bob clears it up. Salvation is being saved from death. For the wages of sin is death. When Jesus went to the cross, he took away the sins of the world. All your sins were future when Jesus died on the cross. With God there is no past, present and future when it comes to dealing with sins on the cross. Jesus took ALL your SINS away.

Now, a person that has accepted Jesus by faith has eternal life. It’s a life and death issue today.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out
