Introduction to the Book of Romans

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P1 (10-21-19)

Synopsis

Bob George introduces the book of Romans by first providing background information into this man names Saul of Tarsus, later called Paul. Bob shares from the book of Acts to provide historical background into the nature and character of Saul before his conversion, then his encounter with the living Christ, his unique conversion experience, and then his calling by God to be an apostle to the Gentiles, to bring the gospel message before the Gentile world and before king and magistrates. Much of what we know of the gospel of good news is explained quite thoroughly through the writings of the apostle Paul. The majority of the New Testament we hold in our hands is through the apostle Paul. An ambassador is someone who is called to represent another party in another place and with a specific mission and with the authority to carry out that mission. Paul clearly received a mission by no other person except Jesus Christ, who called him and told him what he was to do and that he would suffer greatly for the cause of Christ.

Biblical Audio CDs

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P484 (10-18-19)

Synopsis

Bob George received calls for help from people in their every day life struggles. One person, Mary, called for help in regards to a struggle with her husband who is in and out of work. Another lady, Denise, called on behalf of young children, who are caught up in an unhealthy environment where improper sexual relations among adults has occurred, who were apparently flaunting that behavior, or were certainly having no remorse or even recognizing such behavior as sin.

Bob George, during his time on earth, established a counseling ministry, which allowed Bob to offer help to people who call in on his radio program with specific problems to receive help. It is evident to me, as an outward observer, listening to Bob on recorded messages or from the testimonies of others, is the great love Bob showed to hurting people. He made himself available, and even went out of his way to provide help for hurting people. If he cannot discern how best to help, such as due to limited time on a call-in program like this and with insufficient information of their circumstances, he would connect people with other members of the body of Christ so the body is built up and can start functioning properly as God intended.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Took Away All Your Sins Once For All

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P483 (10-17-19)

Synopsis

Bob George was asked questions on forgiveness and salvation. Do you need to ask God for forgiveness when you sin? Do you need to confess your sins to God to get forgiveness? If you sin as a child of God, how do you confess your sin? What are you doing as a child of God when you confess your sin? If you do so many stupid things, should you feel guilty? Are people forgiven only when they accept Christ?

Bob was also asked what spiritual warfare means. Is it spiritual warfare when you are fighting kidney stones or some physical ailment?

Other questions asked were related to the end times. When will the last Gentile come in? What does it mean that the government will be on Jesus’ shoulders? When will that happen?

Bob answers these questions from scripture. Check and see. Let the Holy Spirit teach you from His word.

Present With The Lord

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P482 (10-16-19)

Synopsis

What is so hard to take is when someone you love dies. Also in the world today, events are unfolding in Israel and there seems to be an increasing frequency of floods and earthquakes. The callers today asked these kinds of questions: What about my loved ones that have died before me? Will I ever see them again? If they are born again, will they get their new glorified bodies at the rapture or immediately when they die? Are we in the end times? How should I be prepared for death or end time events?

Callers also asked questions for clarity on understanding a passage of scripture. One caller asked, “Who wrote the book of Hebrews?” Another caller asked, in regards to John 14:1, “who do we pray to, Jesus or God?” In regards to Matthew 12:43-46, another caller was wondering about casting out demons today, like people that say they do exorcisms?

Jesus Gives Life To The Dead

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 85 (10-15-19)

Transcript

So it says that there are many things that Jesus did. They did not record all of them. In one account, it says they would not have filled all the libraries of the world, if recorded all the things Jesus did. But these things were recorded so that you, by believing in him, might have eternal life, eternal life he came to give us.

Now on to chapter 21. Jesus is saying first of all you have to come for life. I came here to show you that you are a sinner. I did do that to put you on a guilt trip. I did not do that for you to bury yourself and for you to get into introspection, saying “woe is me”. I came to show you the truth of something and that is that you have sinned.

Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

You do not have to feel you are a lone ranger. You do not have to sit around beating yourself to death over this. I am pointing out to you your condition. There is a consequence of sin, which is death.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is Life - God in the Flesh

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 84 (10-14-19)

Transcript

Let us turn to the 20th chapter of the gospel of John. We are coming to the end of Jesus life. We talked about in the past messages how important it is when you are about to depart this earth. One way or another, you give out the most important message you can. That is exactly what Jesus did.

Many times we doubt. We look, for example, at doubting Thomas, and say “What is wrong with him?” Yet, how many times in our own lives do we really doubt the Lord in regards to the information He gives to us. We can say that Thomas, for example, doubted Jesus was raised from the dead, which was a historical fact that was certainly true. As for the one who was raised from the dead, He passed on a great deal of information to us. How many of us, like doubting Thomas, do not grab a hold of what Jesus said is truth and hang onto that truth? Would we rather believe the teachings of this world, to grab a hold of all of the different philosophies of the world, and are willing to compromise in the area of truth?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
