Law And Grace

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P31 (11-29-22)

If Righteousness Came Through the Law Then Christ Died For Nothing

~ “You’re never going to receive life. If you’re dead. Life cannot come from the law. Justification cannot come from the law. None of those things can come from the law. So there’s no reward. That’s what he’s saying. There’s no reward under the law, only condemnation. So why would you want to live under something that that the result of living under is a curse? And yet people want to and the other thing that I’ve noticed is when you have people who are objecting to the teaching of grace, it’s always why what you’re teaching is going to give them a license to sin. Have you ever noticed how it’s always them? Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P496 (12-06-19)

Synopsis

As we live in our present bodies, in this sin-indwelling flesh, none of us are beyond falling into old sinful patterns. The church was then instructed to go out of their way to show their love to him so he is not overcome with … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Bob George TeachingBob George, of the original People to People radio program for over 30 years, shares about what our attitude should be towards legalism. Follow along in Matthew 23 to see the example of Jesus attitude toward the religious Pharisees, the legalists in his day. Bob George continues to share the seven woes Jesus spoke to the Pharisees. As you think of how Jesus spoke to the Pharisees there is a tendency to not think of yourself as a legalist or as someone who does not have a tendency towards legalism in our natural flesh. We are so often blind to our sin. Yet Jesus, perfectly righteous and holy, tells the truth in love. Truth may not be pleasant to hear but it the truth you need to hear. Jesus is full of love so he will tell you the truth. The truth shall set you free and truth deals in reality. He will always call sin what it is. We should never get to the point in our lives when we call sin something other than what it really is. When we are found to be in sin, then we … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
