Understanding What The Word God Says and What it Means Are Two Different Things

~ Chip: “Hey, a little quick background on me. Before I get to my question, I started listening to you back in 1993. And before that, I’ve been in Christ for about about four years. And I remember being so sincere in my faith, and I was just really living the Christian life in my own flesh and the energy of my own flesh. For example, I just remember memorizing about 300 Bible passages, and I really thought I was hot stuff. But the problem was, I didn’t have any an idea or understanding about what the New Covenant was. So I was just utterly confused about what they really meant. ~ “Okay. So we have desires of the flesh, God desires of the Spirit, they’re in conflict with each other. Now what did he say there in regard to that? We are now to be made new in what? The attitude of what? Our minds. So how are you going to be made new by changing your actions? How are you going to be made new? Changing your mind. Do you realize, folks, there’s a lot of people who are non Christians acting and a lot better than us? Have you ever noticed that? That’s what irritates the dickens out of me. Are people in the name of Jesus coming up with all of this psychological garbage that does nothing but put people under deeper bondage to know what they’ve ever been before. Are we going to put our faith in Jesus and His word or are we going to put our faith in what man has to say? The Star of Bethlehem Came to Rest Over Jesus

~ “And they, having heard the king, departed, and behold, the star, that they saw in the east, went before them, until, having come, it stood over where the Child was.” Matthew 2:9 Literal Standard Version

~ “Well, after they had heard the king, they went on their way. And then the star, that and then the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them, until it stopped over the place where the child was. Now folks, we could sit here all day long, and talk about that being just a normal star in the sky, and you got people to talk about the planets are all lined up. And, and that’s what happened. And you got all kinds of studies on that type of thing. I don’t care how you line up the stars, a star doesn’t lead you to a place. And so this star that we’re talking about was something special that God put there. It wasn’t something that could be explained by the study of stars. It was a unique thing in the sky. ~ “So folks, we have to understand that Jesus becomes a divider of mankind, and you cannot compromise that there is no compromise in the Gospel. Jesus is God or isn’t God, if he if you don’t think he is joining the rest of the world, but if you believe he is who he is, and that is God, and you believe he’s the savior of the world, and you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has come to save you, you are by that very nature going to be controversial. And you are by that very nature, you’re going to be separate from the rest of the world. So he says that this child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be assigned that will be spoken against. ~ Jesus sets you apart. The more you understand Truth, the more you will realize how separated you are from the rest of the world. The Holy Spirit renews our minds with truth and shows us error. And we all have error in our thinking that needs corrected.

~ “I had a lady the other day I was talking to and she said, Oh, I could never murder anyone. And I said, well, let’s just you know, there’s about 1000 things I could mentioned, but let’s just put that in the category the 10. So if if thou shalt not commit murder, and you say I would could never murder someone, then all you need is a 90%. Jesus. You don’t need 100% Jesus only 90% You’re your 10% Okay. And if on top of that you could not murder and you couldn’t commit adultery. Well, then all you need is an 80%. Jesus. And you could probably just keep going about all you need is about 10%.
