So when we access the Father, who do we access? The one who is full of grace and of truth. Why do we go to Him to receive grace and truth? You don’t go to God to instruct Him. I mean, just how much instruction do you think you can give to God? You go to God In prayer, to receive instruction, to receive grace in your time of need, finding mercy in your time of need. Most people think prayer is going into His presence to kind of get something from God, like a spoiled brat going in, who’s already been given everything and going in wanting some more. It’s like the spoiled little kid whose father owns Toys R Us and goes in and wants more toys. You already own the store. Yeah, it’s just amazing how our concept of God is and what our concept of what prayers are all about. Saved by the Baptism of The Holy Spirit Not Water Baptism – You Must Repent of Your Unbelief and Believe in Christ Jesus

In today’s Classic Christianity Radio program Bob discusses baptism of the Holy Spirit vs water baptism. Only baptism by the Holy Spirit, making a person born again of the Spirit, is the only way salvation takes place. Water baptism doesn’t do anything for you except get you wet.

Another caller called in about forgiveness of sins and the fellowship issue. Fellowship is always in the fellowship saved or out of the fellowship lost.

Then there was another caller that wondered about Acts 18:24-28 in regards to being saved by baptism vs baptism of the Holy Spirit and altar calls. Bob’s answer brings additional insights on to what was happening in the book of Acts at that point in time, in that some had not even heard of baptism of the Holy Spirit. They only had heard of John the Baptist, water baptism, pointing toward the One that would take away all their sins on the cross. Bob: I don’t think that I’ve personally in my 20 some years in the ministry have had any more fun than what I have had in teaching through these Bible study series. I started out as a brand new Christian and teaching whole Bible studies and it’s always just been something that has been terrifically a part of my life. Why, I guess I’m able to do what I do on the radio. Every night is the preparation work that God did in my life in those home Bible studies. Because all our radio broadcasts are to me just a great big old Bible study across the country. And having the privilege of taking these Fridays to teach on the air has been a privilege, beyond privilege to me. 2 Corinthians 3:6
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

So He upheld the law. He fulfilled it with His life. He upheld it with His death. When He was buried. He buried the law, meaning we died to the law. The law is what killed, as Paul said through the law, I died to the law. The law killed me. And in my death and resurrection, I died to the thing that killed me. So we buried the law so that we could be raised from the dead in the newness of life, being freed from the law. So Christ fulfilled the law through His life. He upheld the law in His death. An Eternal Inheritance – We’ve Been Made Perfect in His Sight

We are continuing along in our bible study book, A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection. Let’s listen is as Bob teaches from the An Eternal Inheritance chapter.

Bob: We’re picking up on our lesson called An Eternal Inheritance, and it’s probably one of the most disputed doctrines in the scripture. It is amazing when you take a look at the totality of what is called the Christian faith of the terrific high percentage of people that teach that you can lose your eternal inheritance. Which is kind of a contradiction of terms to lose eternal inheritance, but there are a terrific number of people who teach that. It’s an interesting thing, in my opinion, that you also have a large group of people who not only teach that you have to work for salvation. So you’ve got a whole group of people teaching you have to work to get saved and then you’ve got a whole bunch of people teaching that once you do (get saved), you can lose what you worked for and a very small percentage of people that teach that it is finished or justification by faith and by faith alone.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
