A Righteousness From God

And so the law has no purpose without the punishment for the violation. When a criminal is convicted and put into prison and punished, the law is upheld. If a prisoner is convicted of a crime and let go free, the law is not upheld. You’re not upholding the law. The only thing that upholds the law is where the punishment is executed, that is commensurate with the crime.

So Christ in the preaching of grace, of the grace of God, whereby Christ paid that price, not with some lamb out there, not the blood of bulls and goats, but Christ was the only time in all of history, where the law was not only fulfilled by his life, but it was upheld by his death. Because he who knew no sin became sin for us and the one who deserved, no death took death for us, thus paying the price and the penalty for what we deserve to have taking it upon himself, and thus upholding the law that says, that the wages of sin, the violation of law, the violation of the law that said the wages of that is death and he took it therefor not notifying the law but upholding the law.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

On today’s program Bob answered many of the same questions a number of years ago that are still repeatedly asked today. Tithing is one of them. First off, tithing was old testament law to support the Levitical priesthood. Listen as Bob speaks with the first caller, John from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in regards to tithing. John brought some additional insights into that too, and even shared with his pastor about tithing being of the old covenant, old testament, not the new. Hebrews 7 and 12 speak of a change in the law.

The second caller,  Tommy called from Nashville, Tennessee. He had a question into being given prescription drugs for chemical imbalances of the brain. Listen in as Bob and Tommy discuss this issue. We would do well to pay particular attention to scripture on this area, especially in the book of Revelation on this one for today, where the Greek word pharmekeia is used, which by the way, is where we get the word “pharmacy” and “pharma” (drug companies) from. Manom: Hi. My question is my husband and I come from different backgrounds, but I’m Catholic my husband’s Protestant and we’ve tried very hard to lead a Christian, you know, household. With a husband head of the household and we raise our children to go to Sunday school and we both had the benefit of growing up in households that had that kind of structure. We’re getting ready to begin now at chapter number 11 called an eternal inheritance and this lesson should answer a number of questions that people have in regard to this thing of our inheritance. And Christ, is it eternal or is that temporal? Some people call that eternal security. Some people call it once saved always saved. I just call it truth and the issue is is it true that when Christ did it that he did it, or was it just a partial death on the cross? A partial resurrection? And is it some of him and some of me or is it all of him and none of me? Or is it all of me and none of him? And to those questions, we have to ask ourselves where are we in our belief system? Let The Holy Spirit of God Control Your Life

We continue on with Bob teaching out of the bible study, A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection.

The law written on stone, shows you your sinfulness. And that’s what the Bible says, that the law was given to show us to be perfectly sinful though, so that we would turn to Christ for our redemption. My friends, the law had a purpose, the law still has a purpose, but it says, it’s not to the saved. It’s to the lost and the purpose of the law to the lost, is to show us to be perfectly sinful so that we see and turn to him for his provision.

Now if that ministry that brought death that he’s talking to the wages of sin is death. Here’s the law. Violate it and a goner. We’re getting ready to begin in lesson number seven, led by the Spirit of God. You know, there’s nothing that is any more of it confusing to the Christian world, many times. And what it is to walk in the spirit. And other words, the absence of any times of the teaching on the holy spirit of God is quite evident in people’s lives. And then when many times there is a teaching on the spirit of God, we make the spirit, something the spirit of God, something, quite different than what I believe, biblically, it talks about the Spirit of God being And that is the spirit of God came to lead us and to teach us to be our counselor. He came to be our counselor and the one who was going to lead us into all truth, which we will talk about very short, but to some the Christian life becomes a matter of imitating Jesus.
