Who Is Jesus and for What Reason Did He Die on a Cross Only To Rise Again?

As you think about the fact that our calendar dates have B.C., before Christ, and A.D., Anum Domini, the year of our Lord, you have to conclude there is something significant about a person named Jesus of Nazareth and being identified as Christ or Messiah. Even though the world focuses so much on the birth of Christ, God views the world from the perspective of before the cross and after the cross, the true dividing line of human history. But we do know, just from the calendar, that Jesus was a historical person, who was born into this world, so the whole world must know he existed. To be referenced on our calendars, then he must have accomplished something. What is significant and unique about this person, Christ Jesus?

The Gospel, the Message of Grace in Christ Jesus, Must be Told to Grow in Grace

You are blessed if you are under a church that teaches the true message of grace and not one that teaches a mixed gospel. If you are in an extremely law-oriented church, then it is strongly urged that you leave such a church lest that influence continues for the rest of your life. But once you grasp the message of grace in Christ Jesus, then you will continue to grow in grace. If you have it in your heart to teach the message of grace, then certainly make yourself available to teach that grace to others, as the Lord leads and provides such opportunities for you. A pastor who teaches grace should be looking for people of like mind to teach that message of grace. It is good advice to raise a core leadership team that will teach that message with the mindset of continuing that message to future generations. Be Set Free to Grow in Grace, With Christ Alive Living in You, Teaching You Truth

Many people have this concept of separation of church and state, where what you do on Sunday at church, or what you believe about in the religious or spiritual realm, has no bearing on the physical realm. It is like what scripture says, that they have a form of godliness but deny its power thereof (2 Timothy 3). But church is people who have the Spirit of the God living in them (Romans 8:9-11). Church is not where you go on Saturday or Sunday, a building on the corner of walk and don’t walk. The Spirit lives in a believer so he can make proper judgments about all things (1 Corinthians 2:14-16), and filters what comes to his mind based on what truth is by means of a dynamic relationship with the living God. He can take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). A lost person can only relate in the physical realm through his human spirit that is dead to God. The Effect of Christ Alive Living in You

Has the grace of God reached your heart? Have you understood that He not only loves you unconditionally but He accepts you unconditionally? If you were destitute and homeless, living out of a dumpster, strung out on drugs, have you ever seen someone look at you with pure love in their eyes toward you and just said nothing. Maybe that was your mother, who was just longing for you to come home. Her eyes just drew you in. She just accepts me. She is not looking down at me with disgust. You knew she was going somewhere, so you asked her where she was going? She was going to a bible conference to hear someone speak. Knowing his mother loved him, and knowing it was dangerous to go out alone at night, he asked to go with her. So he sat on the front row and he heard a message of God’s forgiveness and love. God’s Marvelous Plan of Giving His Life to You

The world is often resistant to hearing truth. Why is that? Do they not think that you really care about them personally, so they do not care what you have to say? Is it the way the truth is presented? Do they think you are self-righteous in what you are saying? Do they feel like they are talked down to? Is their mind already made up as to what they think truth is, so they are not open to hearing? Those that do hear the gospel, do not recognize it as the message of good news. Yet, even with all those barriers, those that do hear, often hear half a gospel. At least there is some information to prepare the ground for later truth to be revealed. Sadly, many a person thinks the gospel is getting your sins forgiven. They stop at the cross but fail to go on to the empty tomb, where resurrected life is.

You Have Been Reconciled Unto an Exchanged Life as a New Creation in Christ Jesus

Have you realized you have been reconciled to God already through Jesus’ shed blood on a cross? That means the debt of sin has been in full, as Jesus last words dying on a cross were, “It is finished” (John 19:30). According to Hebrews 9:22, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. That means Jesus is not going to shed His blood again. So this is like being tried in a courtroom of law, proven guilty, but then a man steps up and pays your fine to set you free. The penalty for the crime that rightfully should have been placed on you was pardoned, paid for by another person so you are free. Or, as an example, you were in debt and filed for bankruptcy, and the accountant in charge of the bankruptcy had to balance the books so the debt was taken off your accounts payable and written onto his accounts receivable. The debt had been cleared.
