Faith is Standing in Truth of Forgiveness

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P17 (09-14-21)

God Dealt with Sin. Jesus said, “It is Finished”, and Conquered Death, so You can Receive Him by Faith. So Walk in Freedom, Now that You are Free.

Have you ever been presented with the gospel as coming forward to get your sins forgiven? That is not the gospel. Forgiveness of sins was provided 2000 years ago at a cross, and is what the godhead had decided beforehand that must be done in order for salvation to be given. For salvation is the receiving of new life. If the cause of our death, which is sin, was not solved first, then life could not be given, and as the apostle Paul said, if Christ was not raised we are still dead in our sins (1 Corinthians 15).

1 Corinthians 15:16-17
¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. ¹⁷ And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still dead in your sins.

So Jesus death on a cross was a necessary preparation for life to be given. So there are two problems, sin, which caused our death, and death, our separation from God due to sin, which can only be solved by resurrected life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Godhead Agreed on How to Restore Mankind Back to Life; Propitiation Took Place

Have you ever been tempted to sin? Have you been ensnared and trapped in sin? If we do not guard our hearts, Satan has a way of deceiving us, and it starts out small and innocent enough, and we rationalize it away, then before long you are ensnared. Many a person has stolen money from a college, a business or a ministry and then found themselves in a debt they cannot pay. They try to keep that hidden but are eventually found out. So there is a predicament that occurs for all parties involved and affected, and a solution has to be worked out, for that debt has to be paid.

There was a story of a young man who lied about having obtained his degree, but he failed his last course in college. He had already been offered a job in lieu of getting a college degree. Practical Issues of Life: The Truth Shall Set You Free

Many times people call for help in practical matters of life, such as a spouse with eating disorders, such as Bulimia or Anorexia, a physically abusive spouse or an adulterous affair. Many times this requires biblical counseling. Not counseling of the world where someone is trying to fix the problem but where the counselor is directing people involved to the Lord Jesus Christ who alone can fix the real problems rather than just treating the symptoms. A psychiatrist may or may not even be giving the right treatment for the symptom, but in some cases, a doctor may be necessary. If there is a physical problem, such as requiring the removal of a cancerous pituitary gland, for example, then a doctor would be needed in such cases. But thinking problems are really spiritual problems that a person can get help from by consultation with a biblical counselor.

In the matter of someone suspected of adultery that should be resolved by the parties involved and should not be brought to the church or the pastor. If a person is flaunting his sin in front of the body and the body is affected, then the pastor, not the church, should be in charge of resolving the matter, and ultimately confronting the person and ultimately be the one to ask him to leave, if the person does not stop his flaunting behavior.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

As you go through life experiences and reflect on life, there are more and more questions that you ask. You never stop growing. If you escaped the horrors of Vietnam or World War II, or had to start all over after the devastation of a tornado or a hurricane, even losing a loved one, you may have asked many questions while trying to hold onto whatever you can call life. Common questions asked are “Where is God?” or “Why is there such evil in this world?” or “Why did God allow this to happen?”

There are all kinds of people in this world who face all kinds of challenges in life. Maybe you have not experienced love or grace in a church environment, unlike others you hear about who seem to just express how much they just love their church family. Others have grown up without a father for their mother had to flee from an abusive husband as far away as she could to a place of safety. How is that two people can both hear the same message concerning Christ, and one will become born again and another not? Recall what Jesus told in the parable of the farmer who sowed his seed (Mark 4:1-25). As you read the scriptures, such as Hebrews, what is your attitude of heart? Do you read it with a filter on, as if only a priest can explain the meaning of it to you? Or are you reading it for answers to the meaning and purpose of life, that if I do not understand what this means, I will not be made alive or able to live? Are you reading it that if God Himself does not explain the meaning to me, I will not know what it means? Where is the condition of your heart, is it hard towards God or is it soft and pliable? Man Needed Reconciliation to God with Sins Forgiven but Also Restoration with God, with Eternal Life, Being Made Complete in Christ Jesus

There are many people who say they got saved when they were young, but later in life had doubts. A simple question to ask, “What was your understanding of the gospel?” When Bob George asked people that question, he says that nine times out of ten a person will respond that the gospel is getting your sins forgiven. That in itself is not the gospel. It is a necessary preparation for the gospel to be given. So what is the gospel, the message of good news in Christ Jesus?

Jesus came to take away the sins of the world, and that is how man’s sins have been forgiven. There was a means in the Old Testament to get your sins forgiven, and it involved the shedding of blood of an animal, but it had to be repeated year after year, and could never take away sins.
