Jesus Brought in The New Covenant

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P29 (10-12-21)

Are You as Perfect As Jesus Christ?

If you were asked, “Are you as perfect as Jesus Christ?”, what would be your answer? Are you in Christ? Are you in Him? If you say “yes” to that, what would your answer be, according to the word of God? Have you understood the New Covenant of God’s grace? So let us look at some passages of scriptures so we can come to a conclusion. What did God say?

Hebrews 10:14
14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Do we believe what God said, or are we like Adam in the garden of Eden, who did not believe what God said. “I know God said to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but I say it is good for me.” What happened to Adam? He sinned and he died, just as God had said would happen.

So many times people form doctrines from what they read but out of context of the complete picture of the New Covenant, which Christ Jesus ushered in … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Radio Broadcast Tuesday 10/12/2021”

In Jesus Let Freedom Reign

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P674 (09-24-21)

Be Set Free From the Law by the Grace of God

We were all born dead. Some of you are raised under one denomination or another, whether Catholic, Protestant or Jehovah Witnesses or something else. Or maybe you had no religious background at all. In any case, at some point you are exposed to truth. Maybe you believed in reincarnation, but you willing listened to someone who challenged you as to why you believe what you believe and pointed you to what was written concerning Jesus Christ. And if you never heard of him before, even our calendars make reference to him as being a historical person of significance.

Now, if you are a believer, and you are conversing with the lost, it is good to be patient, kind and gentle while you hold out truth to them. It is good to listen much and ask questions, to dialog with someone to understand why they think the way they do, and then offer them an alternative way to think from what you have read from the bible, an account of Jesus Christ by those who walked and talked with Him, and … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Call-ins Radio Broadcast Friday 09/24/2021”

Knowing the Finality of the Cross and Being Made Complete in Christ Exposes the Common Errors Taught in Christendom Still Today

Preachers can be quite persuasive with illustrations that sure makes something sound so believable and true. They may not be doing this deliberately trying to deceive the people, but they are passing along error of what has been taught to them. They could be well-meaning and sincere, but nevertheless what they are teaching is error. So it is important that we grow in discernment by checking out whatever anyone says by studying the word of God ourselves, relying on the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, to teach us the meaning.

A common example of wrongful teaching is on this area of forgiveness, making a distinction between judicial forgiveness, that which Jesus’ death takes away, and then those parental sins that we must still confess to get back in fellowship with God on. The typical illustration used is expressed like this: “If my son goes out and does something wrong, they need to come and ask me to forgive, so surely that is the way … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Radio Broadcast Tuesday 09/21/2021”

It is Finished on the Cross

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P19 (09-20-21)

By the Spirit, Study the Word to Know the Truth About Forgiveness and Salvation

There is a lot of misunderstanding of the finality of the cross in the world of Christendom today. When you know the truth from the Word of God, then whatever error is out there can easily be spotted. When Jesus said, “It is finished” when dying on a cross, what did He mean?

John 19:30
30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down.

What is finished? What was accomplished when Jesus died on a cross? And, was His death all that was necessary for man to be saved? To be saved means to be saved from death by being made alive in Christ. Death is an eternal separation from God. … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Radio Broadcast Monday 09/20/2021”

Love motivated God to Provide All We Need for Life and Godliness

I believe everyone knows they have a need for forgiveness. But what the world is confused or ignorant about is how we can have forgiveness. There is this idea the world has of on-going forgiveness, that when I sin then I need to do something to get that sin removed, whether it would be going to a confessional booth, confessing your sins to a priest, or doing your 1 John 1:9 of going direct to God to get your sins erased, as a means to get cleansed of your sin, or in the case of an Israelite, in the times of the Old Testament, of going back to the day of atonement, sacrificing a bull and a goat. The problem with all of these systems, they are man-made ideas of how man can do something to have right standing before God. Although the animal sacrifice was required by God under an Old Covenant system, it could cover sin but it could never take sins away and only make a man conscious of sin. Man … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Radio Broadcast Monday 08/23/2021”

The Finality of the Cross

Understanding The Framework for Knowing God through Jesus Christ

What does it take to understand God or the meaning of His word? Do you have to know Greek or Hebrew? Do you have to be educated? No, none of that is necessary. Do you have to have a pastor or gifted teacher to explain things to you? No, that is not needed either. That can be helpful if the pastor or teacher rightly divides the word of God and explains things from the word of God. But how would you know if he is telling the truth? One person can persuade you to believe something, and then someone else can then try to persuade you something different. And both could be wrong. How would you know? Turn to 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 and what do we read there that is needed to discern the meaning of the word of God?

To know God requires that you are a child of God, born again from above, having the Holy Spirit, the Spirit full of grace and truth, living in you guiding you into all truth, while you have … Read More And Follow Along With The Message “Radio Broadcast Monday 08/09/2021”
