Obedience to The Law

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P74 (03-04-24)

The Law Was Meant to Lead us To Jesus Christ

~ People today are living under the law, because quite frankly most have not come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. They are still performing in their flesh for God. They keep telling God, “I’m going to do better next time.” And then oops, they did it again. But Lord, “I’m going to do better next time.” And on and on it goes, with people pretending that they are obeying the Law of God (at least most of the time), and then when they don’t, they ask God to forgive them again and again and again. There is nothing new under the sun. Man repeats the same lies over and over again. It is not just believing in error, but they are believing in the lies of Satan over that of the word of God. They refuse to come to the knowledge of TRUTH, because man’s pride always gets in the way. After all, they went to University and got all this teaching and are proud of their degrees, and now they know it all. They can do it their way, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Changes Everything

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P71 (02-26-24)

Jesus Changes Everything, Rest in Him Alone

~ When you come to Jesus and the Holy Spirit comes to live in you, He starts stripping away your dependencies on all things except Christ Jesus. Many have been kicked out of churches for preaching the truth about forgiveness being finished at the cross. Some of you have lost friends and close relatives because you realized it is ALL Jesus and nothing of yourself and when you share that with others, they don’t want to hear it. And we have to understand that God separates us from those within the world. And the more that you dive into the word of God and rest in the finality of the cross, the more you realize the major lies that people are believing from that of religion. Yet there are some, that like to hold on to tradition no matter what. And that is NOT good. For the Holy Spirit wants to teach us truth yet some place up road blocks to learning the truth of the word of God. Some need to be reminded that church is Not a building on the corner of walk … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Focus on Jesus

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P26 (04-04-23)

Focus on Jesus ~ Turn Your Eyes on Jesus

~ Jesus said, “If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.” John 5:46

“And what Christ said, is to focus on Him, to turn your eyes upon Jesus and to look full in his wonderful face. And the things of the world will grow strangely dim in the light of his wonder and grace to keep your eyes upon Jesus. And what that is meaning is to focus on Christ, he should be the focus of everything that we do, and everything that we say, in this life. And he came into the world to tell people this truth. And there was rebellion against that, because their focus was on something else, their focus, in this particular case, was on their religion, on their traditions, and on the teaching of Moses, and on the person of Moses. And so they would have been saying, Look, we’re followers of Moses, not you. And so he was saying to them, that I’m not going to accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, the very person that you … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is Light - Place Faith in Him

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P8 (02-23-21)

Synopsis

The word of God points to Jesus Christ. Inasmuch as Jesus is alive, His word is alive. You cannot separate those because when God says something, it is a total reflection of His being, unlike us. So God is living and God is active. He is alive and so God’s word is living and is active.

The word of God had to be confirmed and it was, but all scripture points to Jesus, in what He came to do for us through His death, burial and resurrection for us, so we may live a new life. All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, correction, rebuke and training in righteousness. The word of God that we hold in our hands will teach us. Teach us what? Truth. That will do what? Set us free. It is teaching for rebuking what is taught. We have gone off the road, and it tells us we are off the road. It is useful for correcting. What is that? Getting you back on the road. Training for righteousness. What is that? Keeping you on the road. So the word … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Said to Believe in Him

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P3 (02-10-21)

Synopsis

You cannot separate the word of God from the person of Jesus Christ. If you will not or cannot believe the word of God is absolutely true, then how are you going to know if any of it is true, including truth about Christ Jesus. So how can we ever rest in salvation in the one who came to save us if we are not certain the book that recorded that salvation is true. So if it is true as it relates to the person of Jesus Christ, it has to be true in regard to what Christ claimed about every word He held in His hand.

The entire testimony of the bible rests upon the author, and that is Christ Jesus. The credibility of the book rests in the credibility of the author. Jesus said the word is totally true. Listen now as Bob George reads eyewitness accounts of those who had been with Jesus when He walked on the earth. What testimony do we have from Jesus’ own words concerning the Old Testament scriptures He held in His hands? What importance did He place … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
