Why don’t more pastors and teachers teach the truth of 1st John 1:9 today? Because it is not popular.

“There’s a number of teachers that agree with us on 1st John 1:9, but will not teach it because of denominational pressure. You don’t become, you don’t become popular. And this so called world, Christian world, by teaching a Christian bar soap is not a bar soap. And we have grabbed a hold of something there that God never intended us to grab a hold up, but to the people who study the original language with a sincere and open heart, as I had the challenge, ultimately got my Greek understanding of that by going to the the number one teacher of Greek at the Dallas Theological Seminary, and then ultimately going to the teacher in Greece himself. Trust in the Holy Spirit to teach you all truth. Don’t depend on what man says or what man teaches, for someone can be teaching you error. Be as a Berean, and study the word of God to see if things are as they claim to be taught. Learn in context and rely on the Holy Spirit to renew your mind. We have been taught much error through the years in our lives, and if we trust on our flesh to teach us, then we are relying on our own understanding of things instead of God. Reminder, for all those in Christ Jesus, we have the mind of Christ living in us. Trust in Him to teach you ALL TRUTH.

Many times people have questions that they want answers to but do not know who to call or talk to. So it is wonderful to have had a program like this where a person can call and get answers to their questions. Sometimes a question can be about a brother who does not believe the New Testament is accurate and wants to help his brother have confidence that the bible is true and is reliable for truth. Other times a very young believer calls for questions on a passage of scripture he was reading or heard from a church he was visiting, and wants understanding or clarification. Sometimes the question is on how to pray for unsaved loved ones.

Bob shares that the bible is reliable because there are so many copies of them that were meticulously copied by those Israelite scribes. With the discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls in recent history that is verifiable. But also by the fact that all those copies were written down within 40 years of the events. Encouragement and Helpful Advice to Grow in Grace

Growing in grace requires getting to know God better. That is why God give us two ears and one mouth, so that we can listen twice as much as we speak. You cannot understand the grace of God until you listen to Him talking to you. God already knows everything about us. Before a word comes out of our mouth, He knows it. But we do not know everything about God, and we come to know Him, what truth is, and God is full of grace and truth, by listening. God hears the attitudes of our heart. If we were mute, that would certainly be the case. So you may come to discover that as you grow in grace, you will spend less time talking and more time listening.
