Jesus Gives Resurrection Life

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P591 (12-04-20)

Synopsis

So you want to share truth with your family and friends. You sense in your spirit, and maybe you are even convinced from your reading of God’s word, that surely we are in the last days. But I have loved ones, and I have Jewish friends, and Catholic and Protestant friends! How do I share the truth of the gospel to them?

Yes, I have friends in all kinds of situations. Some seem quite moral, and others legalistic. Some are struggling in their marriage, or addicted to drugs. They all can be nice people, too, of all kinds of religious backgrounds or lack thereof. They all seem like really nice people, at least when I interact with them. And, is there really one sin that is more serious than others? What about the nasty nine or the terrible twelve sins? I mean practically people go to jail or get death penalty, but what is God’s perspective on all this? None of us are perfect. What is God’s expectation of us? What does God want from us? Can anyone really approach God, who is absolutely sinless perfection?

In essence, these are … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Believers Are The Church

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P575 (10-01-20)

Synopsis

In general, people call in because they want to know what truth, to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some may be infants in Christ, and others may be believers for quite some time, but have been wandering around in erroneous teaching, and are just beginning to grab a hold of what truth is. Even topics as basic as Baptism and the Lord’s supper. Even those that rightly understand that baptism, that of water, does not save you, but is a ceremony, do not understand the Lord’ supper.

There are those who are genuinely confused over baptism, and that can vary depending on your religious upbringing. But, as you read scripture, it would become very clear to you. Both John the Baptist and Jesus clearly tell us about the fact that the water baptism that John performed was to be replaced by the spiritual baptism that Jesus alone accomplished for us, placing into the body of Christ the moment you, by faith, came to accept his death, burial and resurrection for you.

The Lord’s Supper, sadly, has been more perverted than anything else. Countless many have … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is the Solution to Fix Your Heart Problem

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P549 (07-02-20)

Synopsis

When you teach or serve or give or encourage, with whatever gift God has given you, you are serving the body of Christ. When you know the love of God for you, that while you were yet a sinner, God died for you, and grab a hold of that, that if it were not for the grace of God, there goes I, and realize God lives in you, you see changes done in you and through you. You learn tenderness and mercy and kindness toward others. You learn to serve one another in love with all sincerity, and that comes from God.

So when you see a talented singer on stage, and he has a weak moment and he stumbles on a stage, drunk, what is your heart attitude? Are you thinking of the reputation of your band or group? Are you thinking about how hurt and broken that person must be?

To help someone, it is good to be careful not to attack anything, what a certain program, such as Alcoholic Anonymous, may be doing that is not perfectly scriptural but is at least helping a person break a … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Took Away All Sins on The Cross

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P542 (06-05-20)

Synopsis

It is so wonderful to hear people call in to get answers to their questions. People are looking for truth, and desire to grow in Christ, from the newest believer to those serving as deacons. Pastors and teachers are a gift to the body of Christ, to equip them for works of service. A pastor cannot get bogged down in waiting on tables, but must have time in the word of God and time equipping a group of men, so that they too can counsel and disciple others. Recall the great commission Jesus spoke about to the eleven men he reached and sent out. He told them to teach them to teach others to obey everything He has taught them and to make disciples of men.

Now, to a new believer who asks you advice on how to stop doing the things he used to do as a non-believer, what would you tell him? So many people would tell him to do this and not do that, and it amounts to legalism. You share with him that he is a new babe in Christ, and to get to know the … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Sin of The World is Unbelief in Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P541 (06-04-20)

Synopsis

People have often called into the radio program to ask for more clarity on scripture passages they find difficult to understand. One common one question asked is what about “falling away” and “not being brought back to repentance“ and this “expectation of raging fire” in Hebrews 6:6? The common mistake people do is not read the book of Hebrews all the way through several times over, and then asking the Spirit of God to reveal the meaning of it to you. They tend to focus on one verse out of its entire context, and think of all kinda of fearful thoughts. What is that sin? Did I commit it? So Bob highlights some other passages that gives greater to clarity the scripture in question.

In addition to Hebrews 6:6, look also at Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 10:11-12, Hebrews 10:17-18 and Hebrews 10:26-29. When you read through those passages, you will see that what the writer of Hebrews is talking about is the sin of unbelief in Jesus, where a religious Jew is sinning against the knowledge of the truth, who wants to go back to the day of atonement to get … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

A Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P539 (05-28-20)

Synopsis

From time to time, is it not wonderful to hear encouragement from those who are helped by hearing truth from God’s word, as you were able to participate in the divine nature, allowing God to speak through you? There is no greater joy, Paul says, than to see my children walking in the truth. At times, we can grow weary, but God promises that His word does not return void, and God never forgets the labor of love you do in the Lord. Even Enoch speaks even though he is dead, the testimony of God, of what faith in God is all about. Think about it. Enoch was a man noted by his faith, and faith is what pleases God. Enoch did not face death, but God took him up, and he was no more, for God took him to be with Him, for scripture says he pleased God. God is taking all of us to be with Him one day, and all of our troubles, trials and tribulations will cease. Does it not help you see that for the joy set before Christ endured the cross, scorning it’s shame?… Listen to Broadcast & Read More
