Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P07 (10-03-22)

When You Place Faith in Christ, He is Credited to You as Righteousness ~ Rest Today in His Righteousness!

~ And so and by faith, Israel was saved. They weren’t saved through the law. They were saved by faith. Moses, believed God that was credited to him his righteousness. The Israelites believed Moses, and followed him over into the desert by faith and faith alone. So that’s an interesting thing, isn’t it that that here, even the Israelites were saved by faith, not by the law, but by faith. Now, then the Israelites in the desert, wanted some law. And so God said, Well, okay, I’ll get I’ll give you some law. And then we talked about last week about what the stringency of that law is, here it is, and I’m commanding you to keep all of it, every single bit of it, and the response from the Israelite was, we will do it, Lord. In other words, don’t worry about us, we will do it.

We Know, Without The Shedding of Blood, There is No Forgiveness. ~ Hebrews 9:22 ~ So Rest!

~ Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, there’s no more shedding of blood, there’s no more sacrifice. So either keep trying in the desert, or enter in to this Sabbath rest, and rest from your works just as I rested from mine.

You know, folks, that rest still stands. And that is the offer that is still out to each and every one of us that that Sabbath rest still stands and it says, I just did I warn you don’t fail to enter into that thing. And in other words, why would you want to roam in the desert, for the rest of your life playing church in the desert, instead of enjoying the benefits of the life that is available to you in Christ Jesus, and folks that isn’t a life of prosperity and a life of never being sick and all that stuff? That’s desert stuff as well. We’re talking about entering into peace in your soul.

Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest for Those in Christ

Enter Into The Sabbath Rest Today ~ Enter Into The New Covenant

~ God never intended for you to live in the desert or as a slave in Egypt for that matter. Jesus made a New Covenant with you. Enter into that new covenant today. Only you know if you are resting from your works or not. Only you know if you are resting in His forgiveness or not. Only you can answer the question of what do you do when you sin? Do you try and get more forgiveness by God or are you thanking Him for the forgiveness that you already have? God wants you to enter into the Sabbath rest today. Rest from you trying to keep yourself righteous before God. Rest in Him and what He did on the cross for You! REST!

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P32 (10-19-21)

Come to Jesus; Enter that Sabbath Rest God Has Provided; Take a Vacation in Jesus

Why do we not experience peace? Is it because of faulty thinking? So, when you recognize you are not thinking correctly, do you go to a counselor instead of the Counselor, the Spirit of truth? What did the counselor prescribe? Maybe the counselor did point you to the Counselor. Or, maybe he just gave you some medicine to numb your mind. Either way, he cannot help you. But if He knows Christ, he can certainly point you to the one who can. Or do you go to a gentle stream? And you might feel some temporary relief, until you leave the scene. Is that the peace we read about that Jesus tells us we can have? No. He says that He gives us peace the world knows nothing about.

John 14:25-27
²⁵ “All this I have spoken while still with you. ²⁶ But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Enter the Reality of the Sabbath, which is in Christ Alone, Who Did All the Work For You, Who Made You Perfect or Complete, Pure, Holy, Blameless, Righteous, Sanctified, or Set Apart, and Seated You in the Heavenlies

As you ponder over these passages of scriptures, Hebrews 4:1-11, Hebrews 10:1-14, Hebrews 7:11-28, and Hebrews 8:28, what do you conclude in regarding this Sabbath rest that we can enter into?

Hebrews 4:9-11
⁹ There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; ¹⁰ for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. ¹¹ Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience [unbelief].

What has Christ said? And if what Christ said is true, what can you conclude about what you have to do to draw near to God in worship? Do you have to do this or that, such as going to church on Saturday or Sunday, or abstaining from eating meat on Friday, or observing this special celebration, whether a New Moon festival, confirmation or baptism or whatever it might be, to draw near to God?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Are You Burdened and Heavy Laden? Who Can Give You Rest for Your Soul? Jesus Says, “Come Unto Me.”

Have you lost a son or a daughter, a mother or a father? Have you been kicked out of a church for sharing completed forgiveness? Have you been fired from a job? Are you homeless? Are you without a family or friends you can talk to? Do relationships with people just seem to fall apart? Have you not seen relatives in years or been able to talk with them because of deep pain? Do you have a son or daughter who is just struggling in life, and you see him or her hurt and you hurt with them too? Do you feel you are carrying this burden all alone? But, know this, you are not alone. God is with you. Let Him carry the load. Can you see that He is carrying the load?

Have you been trying to get close to God, not realizing He is in you (if you are a believer in Christ Jesus) and you cannot get any closer than that? Have you wandered from one religious denomination to another and not found rest?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
