Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest Now Rest

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P32 (10-19-21)

Come to Jesus; Enter that Sabbath Rest God Has Provided; Take a Vacation in Jesus

Why do we not experience peace? Is it because of faulty thinking? So, when you recognize you are not thinking correctly, do you go to a counselor instead of the Counselor, the Spirit of truth? What did the counselor prescribe? Maybe the counselor did point you to the Counselor. Or, maybe he just gave you some medicine to numb your mind. Either way, he cannot help you. But if He knows Christ, he can certainly point you to the one who can. Or do you go to a gentle stream? And you might feel some temporary relief, until you leave the scene. Is that the peace we read about that Jesus tells us we can have? No. He says that He gives us peace the world knows nothing about.

John 14:25-27
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to

Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest for Today

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P31 (10-18-21)

Enter the Reality of the Sabbath, which is in Christ Alone, Who Did All the Work For You, Who Made You Perfect or Complete, Pure, Holy, Blameless, Righteous, Sanctified, or Set Apart, and Seated You in the Heavenlies

As you ponder over these passages of scriptures, Hebrews 4:1-11, Hebrews 10:1-14, Hebrews 7:11-28, and Hebrews 8:28, what do you conclude in regarding this Sabbath rest that we can enter into?

Hebrews 4:9-11
9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience [unbelief].

What has Christ said? And if what Christ said is true, what can you conclude about what you have to do to draw near to God in worship? Do you have to do this or that, such as going to church on Saturday or Sunday, or abstaining from eating meat on Friday, or observing this special celebration, whether a New Moon festival, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

We Were Reconciled to God

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P25 (10-04-21)

Learn to Walk in Freedom in That Sabbath Rest in the New Covenant of Grace

When a person does not know the full gospel, has been taught erroneous teaching of in and out of fellowship, that you can lose salvation or lose fellowship, and does not understand the New Covenant He is under today, he is unable to rest in the fact that God has not only done it all, has taken away your sins from the eyes of God never to see them again, but is always alive, living in you, forever interceding for you.

As you ponder over these scriptures, Romans 5:10, Hebrews 9:22-28, Hebrews 10:9-18, Hebrews 4:1-11, Hebrews 7:23-25, and Hebrews 3:18-19, what conclusions can be drawn?

Romans 5:10
10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

When you think about Romans 5:10, ask yourself, “When were you reconciled?”, “When did Jesus die?”, “Did His death save you or were you saved by His life?” So, Jesus died for … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The New Covenant P31 (08-03-21)

What Does it Mean to Enter God’s Rest?

All of us will face burdens or go weary in this fallen world we live in. Entering God’s rest does not mean we will not face hardships or difficulties in life. It does not mean we will live a completely sinless life, for we still have this struggle with our sin-indwelling flesh that is in conflict with the Spirit, who lives in us now. But it does mean that we have someone to go to, who loves and accepts us unconditionally and wants to give us abundant life. Jesus says He will never leave me nor forsake me and that He remembers my sins no more. That means, as a child of God, I am no longer under the law, under an Old Covenant, but under a New Covenant of grace, and I can boldly go to the throne of grace for help in time of need.

The curtain to the Holy of Holies, where, under an Old Covenant, only the high priest could enter, and that without the shedding of blood, has been torn in two, and that not … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
