Rest in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P70 (02-21-24)

Jesus Wants to Give You Rest for Your Soul

~ We sometimes need to be reminded, that Jesus came to give us rest for our souls. Many folks have rebelled against religion, they have rebelled against the hypocrisy involved, they have rebelled against the people that act all holier-than-thou. And quite frankly, we are actually to rebel against those things. Because God doesn’t want us to be under the slave system. He came to set us free from all that garbage. And yes, it is filthy garbage. It is dung, as the Apostle Paul said. Throw it away. Don’t support your slave masters. Get rid of listening to those that would place you back under the yoke of slavery. For it is freedom that Jesus has set us free. Rest in Him today, and He will give you rest for your soul. He will never leave you no matter what. Come to Jesus for Rest today.

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Beware of Actors and Hypocrites That Have a Form of Godliness

~ The world is filled with christian hypocrites that can easily fool the world into thinking they must be a child of God, because after all, they say the name of Jesus. Or they talk about the bible left and right and know Scripture inside and out and can repeat verses to you, so they must be a child of God. Or they do all these so called good works, so they must be a child of God. And then remember that Satan’s agents are transformed into ministers of righteousness also. And then people can pretend they are righteous too, based on what they do or don’t do. People will say, “I pray everyday to God” as though that makes them a child of God. People will say, “I go to church on Sundays and Christmas and Easter” as though going to a building makes them a child of God. People will say, “I love Jesus” yet will still refuse to enter the sabbath rest, because they think they are attempting to obey the Law of God and then ask God … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest Now Rest

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P890 (12-01-23)

Are You Busy and Barren Today or Resting in Jesus?

~ Many people are out there grunting and groaning in the energy of their flesh for Jesus Christ. They are not abiding in the Holy Spirit, but are listening to their flesh tell them to be a do do Christian. And they are listening to man saying to do this instead of listening to the Holy Spirit, if indeed the Holy Spirit lives in them. We are told to make sure that we enter His rest, whereby we rest from our works as Jesus rested from his too. Jesus showed us how man was to live, by abiding in the vine. We can do nothing on our own. Only when we allow God, the Holy Spirit to live His life in and through us can we then experience the Sabbath rest of God. Jesus did nothing and said nothing other than what the Father had him do and had him say. So when we learn to abide in the vine, God will use us the same way. Simply make your body available to Him, that is our perfect form of worship … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Take Off The Grave Clothes

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P09 (10-05-22)

Jesus Said, “Take Off The Grave Clothes”

~ Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead ~ John 11:38-44
38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Only by Faith in Jesus Not by Works

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P08 (10-04-22)

Trying to Obey the Law Will Cause More Sin in Your Life ~ The Answer: Live By Faith in the One Who Took Away All Your Sins on the Cross!

~ So in Romans 5:20 were say, the law was added so that the trespass might increase. In other words, did we just not read that the law was added because of transgressions, until the seed came. And it was added, so that the trespass, the transgression might increase, but where sin increased, Grace increased all the more, so that just as Sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness, to bring what? eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So we’re going to see that wherever we are as Christians, under the law, that you’re going to see that the power of sin is in the law. And as a Christian, when you put yourself under the law, instead of entering into where God called you to the Sabbath rest, that you’re going to find that in your desert experience attempting to find your righteousness through obedience to the law, that all you’re going … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Seek His Righteousness

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P07 (10-03-22)

When You Place Faith in Christ, He is Credited to You as Righteousness ~ Rest Today in His Righteousness!

~ And so and by faith, Israel was saved. They weren’t saved through the law. They were saved by faith. Moses, believed God that was credited to him his righteousness. The Israelites believed Moses, and followed him over into the desert by faith and faith alone. So that’s an interesting thing, isn’t it that that here, even the Israelites were saved by faith, not by the law, but by faith. Now, then the Israelites in the desert, wanted some law. And so God said, Well, okay, I’ll get I’ll give you some law. And then we talked about last week about what the stringency of that law is, here it is, and I’m commanding you to keep all of it, every single bit of it, and the response from the Israelite was, we will do it, Lord. In other words, don’t worry about us, we will do it.
