Have You Understood the Finality of the Cross: Are You a Follower Of Christ but Not Born Again? Are You a Professor or a Possessor of Christ?

I once heard someone born in England once say that anyone born in America is a Christian. Some people think that if you go to church then you are a Christian? What do people really mean when they ask if you are a Christian? Are they really just asking to see if you are a good person, towing the line of expectations of men? That you go to a denomination that they approve as the one true church? I have heard Mormons say they are Christians too? I have heard Catholics say they are Christians too? Regardless of the denomination, sitting in a church does not make you a Christian any more than sitting in a hen house makes you a chicken. And who is Jesus to you? Is he merely a political leader? Is he just a prophet like other prophets? Was he just a good and noble man who was martyred for a just cause? Let Truth set you Free and Learn to Walk in Grace

As a new believer, you will tend to have more of a struggle in overcoming sinful habits, and that is not unusual, as you are just now on the starting line of having your mind renewed. Even as you mature in Christ, you will continue in that process of having your mind renewed until the day we meet the Lord. We will all continue to battle the flesh, and God knows our weaknesses and tendencies. We are all reminded to guard our life and doctrine closely and take heed that we do not fall, and to be gentle and humble toward others, as we ourselves could easily get caught up in any sin ourselves. Along with allowing God to change us, our thinking and attitudes of heart, to let your actions be in accordance with who you are as a child of God, then your emotions will follow. You will no longer be miserable but experience the fruit of the Spirit God wants produce in you and through you. Learn to trust the mercy and grace of God. Christ in You Is Your Hope of Glory; No Matter What the Sin, God’s Grace is Greater; Let Us Live Under Grace Not Law

We can certainly celebrate the day of Pentecost, if we choose to do so, for that is the first time in history that Christ came to indwell men permanently. Prior to the cross, the Holy Spirit came upon people for divine service, but the Spirit could also leave because of sin. That is why David prayed for the Spirit to not depart from him after committing both adultery and murder (Psalm 51). We would not pray such a prayer today.

So, if you have committed adultery, are now divorced, and are wondering how to go on with your life, understand what God accomplished for you. So no matter what the sin, realize God’s grace is greater than all your sin. You can start living under grace and experience the best that God has for you.

2 Corinthians 5:19
God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Man is incurably religious. Why is that? Why is it that when you go to the most indigenous people of the world in the remotest jungle, you will find people going through some kind of motion in an attempt to get in contact with the spiritual world. People will acknowledge that there is something out there they cannot see. And unless you are fool, then you must acknowledge there is a God, for all of creation testifies of that.

Many times people have questions that they want answers to but do not know who to call or talk to. So it is wonderful to have had a program like this where a person can call and get answers to their questions. The bible is true and is reliable for truth. At times a person will call in because they are in a conversation with a person who has a different bible than ours, such as Catholics which also have the Apocrypha included in it. Other times a person calls in to ask about what this judging another person is about. Another person calls in because he is troubled by what he sees as the trends in society, such as the acceptance of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle or people saying they are born that way. Then there are those questions about whether a person dies before his time. Have you ever heard someone say that God forgives the sins you confess? Is that true according to the scripture? No. Like this and many other questions regarding forgiveness, people who ask such questions do not know what Jesus accomplished by way of the cross. We have all these theologies that are paralyzing the Christian community with this concept that you can get in and out of fellowship with God. Not only were all the sins of the entire world taken away, forgiven forever, from the eyes of God when Jesus shed His blood on a cross, but Jesus rose from the dead in order to give to you and me eternal life, an indestructible life, that cannot be taken away by sin, having ushered in a New Covenant of grace that we are to live under today.
