Understanding the New Covenant vs the Old Covenant

Marriage and divorce are topics of conversation that come up for Christians many times as being held as a hammer over someone’s head, especially if they are or have been divorced. Yet it’s so vitally important to put things in the proper perspective. Divorce, marriage and remarriage in the New Covenant vs divorce, marriage and remarriage under the Old Covenant are items that need to be addressed and placed in the proper context. First off, we need to understand which side of the cross we live under right now, and also to understand that Jesus taught under the Old Covenant of the law. What is the True Gospel?

Many topics of conversation came up in today’s program. These topics of conversation are extremely relevant for today. There are so many pastors that have huge church followings for prosperity gospel teachings. This is not the gospel! And that is where we begin today.

The first caller, Ken called from Frisco Texas. He had a question about searching for a church in their area. Also, he noticed that a lot of the pastors taught the prosperity gospel. In addition to that he wanted to know Bob’s opinion on the husband and wife team being lead pastors at a church.

Bob explains out of the Book of 1 Timothy chapter 6 in regards to these false teachers that preach a prosperity gospel is of a corrupt mind.

Without The Shedding of Blood There is No Forgiveness – It is Finished!

Is Jesus going to shed His blood again? No! So if Jesus shed His blood one time for the sins of the whole world, and “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” [Hebrews 9:22], then what are we going to have to conclude from that one verse of scripture? It is finished! Jesus cried out from the cross, “It is finished!” There is no more sacrifice for sins. His work was complete.

Shout it from the rooftops! Jesus was born a man and lived a perfect life and took away all our sins on the cross from the sight of God so that in Him we may become the righteousness of God ourselves and receive His eternal Life in us.
