Synopsis

Have you ever wondered why someone you love is not acting like he is a Christian? He is born again, or so you thought, but his actions testify against him. Why is he going back to perverse behavior, behavior that only occurs among the heathen? There are two possible explanations. One he is not born again as you think he is, or he is born again, but is not paying any attention to God, and is acting in rebellion against truth. We cannot judge motives, but we can judge actions. So, if not certain of the evidence, then approach him in love, ask the questions that will draw him out, is your best option. You love him enough to tell him the truth. As a believer, we have the privilege to participate in the divine nature. That also means, we can choose to participate in the flesh. The flesh is contrary to the Spirit. We overcome the flesh by walking in the Spirit, putting to death the misdeeds of the body.

Synopsis

If you are a child of God, which happened the moment you became born again, with the Spirit of God living in you, then you have a testimony of how you came to Christ. You know what you were thinking and what your heart was like before coming to Christ. You heard the message of Christ. You had an encounter with the living Christ. People cannot argue with a testimony. It is your story of how God began the process of changing you. You are not perfect, and you still fall short, but God imputed His righteousness to you. You have been made complete in Christ, made into a new creation, not based on anything you did or failed to do, but on the fact you trusted Christ alone for what he did for you. Synopsis

Listen as Bob George shares background information as to what the culture was like among the Jews in the time of Christ. Listen as he describes how the Jews and the Gentiles were at odds with each other. Then something amazing happens. Jesus, who is God in the flesh, has come to this earth to reveal his plan to save both the Jew and the Gentile the same way. Paul is called of God to be an apostle to the Gentiles. Here he is struggling with his own people, back in Jerusalem, and they are just as proud and arrogant as he once was. A pastor said that in Deuteronomy 22:5 that it is sin for a woman to put pants on. Why would someone say that?

Deuteronomy 22:5
⁵ A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.

Whoever that guy is ought to get a life. Back in those days, men wore robes, which would be called like a dress, or floppy pants. What is he doing in Deuteronomy anyways? If he knew the Lord, he would be in the New Covenant. If the guy is lost, what is anyone doing listening to him, if he is lost. The last thing I would want to listen to is a lost pastor. People pick and choose verses they want to speak on and take it out of context. That happens quite often among those who are lost, devoid of spiritual understanding. They live by the letter of the law, and that kills and does not give life.

There are questions that people in church ask, such as what about the unpardonable sin or falling away after hearing truth, as in an improper understanding of Hebrews, where people think they can lose salvation. There are questions asked, even church-going people, such as whether premarital sex is sin. There are questions people ask about the second coming of Christ, but are getting tripped up over simple things they have heard that are simply not true. Truth is so important to grab a hold of so you can walk in the way God intended. On today’s program, two callers called, that highlight how when truth is not understood or grasped, you are unable to walk in the new life God has given you. There are those people who will not think it worthwhile to hold onto truth, and have been deceived by the thinking of the world, and are lost. Sometimes people call in on behalf of a son or daughter or granddaughter who has been ensnared, and are asking for counsel in how to reach their loved ones with truth.
