A Scriptural Journey to Discover the Grace of God

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P664 (08-26-21)

Let us Discover Together the Grace of God

It is encouraging to hear people reach out to another brother or sister in Christ or to ask questions because they want to learn and grow. Such an environment where you feel free to ask questions is such an encouragement, where you pray together, have fellowship in the Spirit, and learn from others who have grown in the Lord, and be able to share what the Lord is doing in your own life. In the Internet age, the ability to do so has opened up such opportunities to people living in different states and even across countries with a Zoom bible study. Although you do not have the close person to person interaction, there are opportunities you would never have had otherwise.

So as you listen to the callers, you can hear the grateful attitudes of the heart, even from the resources made available to them, such as Classic Christianity and A Spiritual Journey to Discover the Grace of God that they testified has totally changed their understanding of what the Christian life is all about.

One caller was in a bible study at lunch break from work with other people.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Closer Look at The Finality of the Cross

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P7 (08-23-21)

Love motivated God to Provide All We Need for Life and Godliness

I believe everyone knows they have a need for forgiveness. But what the world is confused or ignorant about is how we can have forgiveness. There is this idea the world has of on-going forgiveness, that when I sin then I need to do something to get that sin removed, whether it would be going to a confessional booth, confessing your sins to a priest, or doing your 1 John 1:9 of going direct to God to get your sins erased, as a means to get cleansed of your sin, or in the case of an Israelite, in the times of the Old Testament, of going back to the day of atonement, sacrificing a bull and a goat. The problem with all of these systems, they are man-made ideas of how man can do something to have right standing before God. Although the animal sacrifice was required by God under an Old Covenant system, it could cover sin but it could never take sins away and only make a man conscious of sin. Man could never be made perfect before God by means of the law.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Made You Holy

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P663 (08-20-21)

Make Yourself Available to the Lord for Building Up the Saints in All Truth and Godliness

We want to encourage our listeners to make your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to the Lord (Romans 12:1-2), to make yourself available to the Lord to use you as He directs. Follow the example of Bob George as he followed the example of Christ. That echoes the same sentiment as the apostle Paul who said the same thing to the believers he ministered to, according to the gift and grace God had given him.

1 Corinthians 11:1
1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

3 John 1:4
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

If you have matured in Christ and have understanding of the meaning of the word of God, and can teach that to others, then consider having a home bible study or an online zoom bible study, if you are not doing so already. If you are growing in the Lord, and you are equipped of the Lord in a different capacity, and you are a part of a home bible study or are blessed to meet with a local assembly, look out for those in the world who are longing to grow in grace.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is The Righteous One

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P6 (08-18-21)

The Only Solution to Death is Life and the Only Life Available to Man is the Resurrected Life in Christ Jesus

When we think of death, and if you have lived long enough, you have probably been to a funeral service or a viewing and have seen your loved one, your father or mother, your uncle or aunt, in a coffin. This physical death is a consequence of the sin that occurred in the garden of Eden. Sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and so death came to all men (Romans 5:12). But this physical death is a picture of a more devastating death, called spiritual death, which every man born in Adam is born with. Adam was born alive spiritually but chose sin and died. All of us born in Adam are born dead spiritually with the option to choose life. All mankind is now born dead to God, and that dead state continues on even while they are alive physically. Unless that problem of spiritual death is solved, all mankind is condemned already (John 3:36, John 3:17-18, Luke 19:10). But while man is alive physically, he has the ability to choose life through what God has provided in Christ Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Knowing Jesus is Eternal Life

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The New Covenant P27 (07-26-21)

You Have Been Made Competent as a Minister of the New Covenant

What is your competence? Is it your ability to obtain a job? Your intellect? Your abilities? Your ability to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, to make yourself holy? Or is the competence that you have from God, the competence to proclaim that He has done it all for you, to proclaim the message of God’s grace? Do you realize you are made competent as a minister of the New Covenant (2 Corinthians 3:5-6)?

Listen now as Bob George explains scriptures of how we are made competent as ministers of a New Covenant (2 Corinthians 3:5-11, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18). He contrasts the ministry of the Old Covenant, under the ten commandments, under the law, through scripture passages, as in Exodus 24:12, Exodus 31:18, Exodus 32:15-16, Exodus 34:1, and Exodus 34:29-35, in contrast to the New Covenant we are living under today. We enter into the New Covenant through faith in Christ, who has completed the work to make the New Covenant a reality. That reality is experienced in the lives of those who come to faith in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:4-11).… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Forgave You Completely

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The New Covenant P21 (07-12-21)

Synopsis

Turn to Hebrews 10:19-25. As you do so, ponder over all that the first ten chapters of Hebrews just got through telling you. If you have not read the book of Hebrews before, read it again and again in its entirety, asking the Spirit to teach you what it means. When you understand God’s love for you, what kind of response should that produce in you?

Have you come to understand you are a forgiven person, that all your sins were taken away by one act of God in sending His Son to die on a cross for you, and that while you were still enemies of God in your mind, He died for you. You came to the end of the law for righteousness, realizing the law put you to death so that you died to the law, so you can live under grace. There is no more sacrifice for sin. It is finished.

You realized you had no righteousness of your own, hopeless and spiritually dead to God. So you received what God came to give you, His life placed in you. You are washed. You are cleansed.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
