Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P637 (05-27-21)
Many believers think the rapture will happen very soon. In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul instructs the believers to encourage one another with these things, that one day we will meet the Lord in the air. The Holy Spirit is deposited in us as a guarantee for the redemption of our bodies. Those who are older, or those born with a crippled body, definitely know what their failing body is like and certainly long for a new one. One day we will be absent from the body and present with the Lord. We will be given a new glorified body that is not like our current, for we are told that flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of God. And as we think about Jesus’ resurrected body, that could walk through walls, we are told we will have a body like His.
We do not know how God will make us a glorified body but we know He will. Much about the end times is difficult to understand but we can read the scriptures and allow God to encourage our hearts. Jesus even tells us to read Revelation and … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P32 (04-20-21)
With the word of God, and the Spirit of God living in us, knowing the totality of the cross, the reality of the resurrection, and the fullness of what Christ did for us in all of that, regardless of whatever shortcomings there are in translations, you can know the meaning of the scriptures, and so much difficulty in understanding soon disappears. You come to realize that the word of God is divinely inspired, written down through the personalities of men, through the prophets and apostles, but with the full meaning of what God wanted to express to us, that we may put our faith in Him and have eternal life, the abundant life He promised us.
These men, whom God appointed and raised up for that purpose, prior to the foundation of the world, wrote down what God said to them. When the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, to indwell the apostles forever, the Holy Spirit brought back to their remembrance, to the apostles, who were eyewitnesses of His death, burial and resurrection, of all that they had seen and heard, that God wanted them to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

We all have many questions as we are growing in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we are continuing to grow until the day we die. So we will go through trials and tribulations in this fallen world we live in. People will cause us harm or emotional pain by the choices they make, and at times, we will slip up and do that to others. So how do we deal with such things, as we get into different situations in life?
Are we supposed to claim verses as promises of God for us, like the “name it and claim it” people do, or just say whatever God’s will is, and be okay with that? Do we attribute something as God’s will when it is really the will of some other man walking in the flesh? Some of our questions are not even about trials and tribulations, but we hear something from someone that kind of throws us off. We kind of get shaken up a little bit, or start having doubts about what the word of God means, or if I can trust this or … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P553 (07-16-20)
You can hear people say today that everyone is a child of God or that there are many roads to God. Is that true? No. There is only one way to Jesus, and he tells us what gives someone the right to become a child of God.
John 1:11-13 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
When people say such things, it shows that they do not understand who Jesus is and what he came to do. Until a person has the Spirit of God living in him, which is what it means to be a child of God, a new spiritual creation. Recall the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus, who asked him what is required to enter heaven. Jesus replied, “Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.“

The second caller, Steve, simply brought up a strange teaching he heard and wanted to bring it to Bob’s attention for further clarity although he clearly knew how false it was. The third caller, John, asked a question in regards to a specific passage of scripture and if those people referenced were saved. David asked a question in regards to what was lacking in Apollos in the book of Acts that he needed Priscilla and Aquila to explain truth more accurately. Eddie asked what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit in reference to teaching he heard from Pentecostal churches. The last caller asked Bob in regards to why there are lots of differences in teaching out there, such as what he has heard from Hank Haanagraf and Bob George.
