Understanding the Word of God in Context is So Important

~ “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

~ So often, people will take things out of context from the word of God and try to say that there are contradictions in the word of God, failing to realize that things are written from different perspectives. Timing and sequences of events are important to consider also.

~ “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. The Law Cannot Give You Life ~ Only Jesus Can Give Life!

~ “Now, here’s the good news. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of Life, set me free from the law of sin and death. Under the law, the wages of sin is death. And the gift of God is life. There was no human solution to that, folks, there was only a godly solution, and that is through the only one who could give you and me life and that’s Christ Jesus. Why? verse three For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature. What was the law powerless to do? We talked about that a couple of weeks ago, it was powerless to bring life. If life could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing. It was powerless to bring righteousness to a person. It was powerless to bring justification, if we could be justified through the law again, that Christ died for nothing. ~ “I don’t think there’s a more important thing for us to get a grasp on Bob than what we’re talking about right now. Because it’s the thing that causes the conflict and people sitting bound, doubting their salvation and everything else. And especially with teaching that sometimes takes place that if you’re truly born again, why you’ll never sin again, and you’ll never have a experience a desire to sin again, and all that type of thing, which is just utter nonsense. And so what you’re what you are dealing with folks, is the fact that we are left with these bodies of ours, with something called indwelling sin living in these bodies of ours, it’s no longer I, And who am I? Well, I’m a child of the living God. That’s who you are. If you are in Christ Jesus, you’re a child of the living God. ~ “Okay. So we have desires of the flesh, God desires of the Spirit, they’re in conflict with each other. Now what did he say there in regard to that? We are now to be made new in what? The attitude of what? Our minds. So how are you going to be made new by changing your actions? How are you going to be made new? Changing your mind. Do you realize, folks, there’s a lot of people who are non Christians acting and a lot better than us? Have you ever noticed that? I mean, on the outward actions, outward actions, you couldn’t tell the difference. You go over into some of the Muslim countries over there, you’ll see some pretty good behavior. The Star of Bethlehem Came to Rest Over Jesus

~ “And they, having heard the king, departed, and behold, the star, that they saw in the east, went before them, until, having come, it stood over where the Child was.” Matthew 2:9 Literal Standard Version

~ “Well, after they had heard the king, they went on their way. And then the star, that and then the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them, until it stopped over the place where the child was. Now folks, we could sit here all day long, and talk about that being just a normal star in the sky, and you got people to talk about the planets are all lined up. And, and that’s what happened. And you got all kinds of studies on that type of thing. I don’t care how you line up the stars, a star doesn’t lead you to a place. And so this star that we’re talking about was something special that God put there. It wasn’t something that could be explained by the study of stars. It was a unique thing in the sky. ~ “So folks, we have to understand that Jesus becomes a divider of mankind, and you cannot compromise that there is no compromise in the Gospel. Jesus is God or isn’t God, if he if you don’t think he is joining the rest of the world, but if you believe he is who he is, and that is God, and you believe he’s the savior of the world, and you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has come to save you, you are by that very nature going to be controversial. And you are by that very nature, you’re going to be separate from the rest of the world. So he says that this child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be assigned that will be spoken against.
