Absent From This Body and Present With the Lord

~ Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-8

~ When a child of God goes to sleep, for the very last time, on their last day, in this body of flesh and blood, we get our new physical/spiritual bodies immediately present with the Lord, that are in the same type of condition that Jesus’ body is in, flesh and bone. Don’t forget, when Jesus was raised from the dead, He had a physical body that could talk, could eat, could walk and do things, could be seen and touched by those still in the physical mortal bodies of flesh and blood. This was witnessed by many after His resurrection and before He went away to send the Holy Spirit for Life (for us) 50 days after the resurection. Forgive as The Lord Forgave You!

~ A false teaching of forgiveness is still being taught by most pastors and teachers that forgiveness is ongoing from God. Because of this misunderstanding of forgiveness in the New Covenant today, people think the person has to keep going to God for more forgiveness between God and them. They in essence don’t believe ALL their sins were forgiven at the cross, and thus believe more forgiveness is required by God. The truth of the matter is Jesus FORGAVE you (past tense) of ALL of your sins at the cross. Not some of your sins, but ALL of them. Do you believe this? Or, are you placing faith in the teaching of men rather than God?

~ “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13

Synopsis

Have you ever got into a conversation trying to persuade someone on what truth on a matter is? But they are not understanding or their mind is made up. It is one thing to disagree on certain trivial or non-consequential matters, and certain things are not as clear without more or sufficient information to draw conclusions. But when God has made something clear to you, that has been revealed to you through the scriptures on what Christ Jesus accomplished on the cross for you, it is heart-breaking when you share such truth on such a critical subject of life and death, and the person is blind or hard of heart and cannot see!

It is also heartbreaking when you see those leaders whom you trusted and respected, who were even influential in your early years in coming to Christ, have gone astray or have fallen into a serious sin, maybe even as a pastor, where much more is expected from them. That can lead to anguish and soul-searching in many hearts as to questioning what truth is, or what church is, of trust and fellowship is.
