When we are born again, we have become a new creation. As we study God’s word, letting the Spirit reveal truth to us, we just cannot help but thank God for His amazing grace, with total unconditional acceptance and love. We have truly been made complete in Christ. All of us have been taught things, error from our former life, that often carry with us in our new life in Christ until our minds are renewed with truth. Many times we can remain in error for much of our life because we fail to study God’s word or remain in a church that reinforces false teaching. So many people get caught up in the burden of having to tithe, as if tithing is for today. They are told that if they are not tithing they are robbing God. One common question that gets asked quite often is about how the law of Moses applies to us today. Well, if you are a lost person, then it still applies to you to lead you to Christ, for that is the purpose of the law. The law was added so man might recognize he is a sinner, and then understand his condition of death to God, so that he might to Christ to receive new life. Otherwise, the cross of Christ has no meaning to him. The law of Moses was written on stone and is a ministry of death and condemnation. That is, the law is like a mirror, to tell you what your problem is. Although it was glorious, though fading, it does not compare to the glorious ministry of righteousness that Jesus gives to those who are born again. Synopsis
Callers asked questions in regards to tithing, baptism, honoring your parents and not exasperating your children, and receiving instruction and training in the Lord. To those new in Christ, baptism can be a foreign concept, not understood. Sadly, so many have taught tithing for today, which should not be. Then there are those practical matters that are sometimes confusing to you as to how to live in this new way of life that you received.
To those who have been under almost any pastor in Christendom today, you have been told that you are to give the first ten percent to God, and that if you do not, then you are told that you robbing God. But is that what the word of God instructs us to do, who are not under law but under grace? No!
So many pastors today have pounded on tithing for today, which is clearly wrong, when one understands the teaching of Paul in 2 Corinthians on New Testament giving. So many call out of guilt or confusion. Synopsis
Several people called to ask common questions. Many things are not properly understood because people are not reading the word for themselves, not letting the Holy Spirit teach them, or would rather believe what some denominational persuasion has them convinced is true. Such is the case of many of the callers who call.
These callers called because they wanted to know truth and Bob graciously answered their questions from what the Holy Spirit has revealed to him. Is tithing for today? What about Malachi? Am I robbing God? What is the way of giving under the New Covenant? Is God punishing me because I married out of wedlock, and now I am pregnant and had a miscarriage? Should I always turn the other cheek? Should I keep giving to someone who continuously steals from me? What is the line drawn on forgiving somebody? What really is forgiving someone? Am I enabling someone when I keep giving and giving to a person who never changes his stupid or sinful behavior? What happened in the garden of Eden? What happened to all mankind? Can man get that life back again?

Nick: I was listening to someone preach the other day. He said you cannot be a cafeteria Christian. What he meant was that you cannot be a Christian that just picks and chooses scriptures and live accordingly. It is either all of the scripture or none of them.
Bob: Well, that is not true. You certainly do not want to be living under the Old Covenant when it has been replaced by the New Covenant. I do not know what his theology is. Let us take two scenarios. If he is saying that we are just as much under the Old Covenant as the New Covenant, then that person is out to lunch. If the Jews could not live under the Old Covenant, we cannot live under it either. That is why God came to replace the Old Covenant. The Old Covenant is obsolete, old and aging and will soon disappear. We do not live under the Old Covenant. We live under the New Covenant.
