Synopsis

When you think of all the prophecies that were said regarding Christ Jesus, as spoken by the prophets, and that all was fulfilled that was written concerning Him in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms, and then, if you were one of His disciples on earth, you hear what Jesus said in regard to His soon resurrection, what do you suppose your response would be? Jesus said to them, “I will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock me, insult me and spit on me; I will be flogged and then killed. On the third day, I will rise again.”

Like all of us, we hear, but do not understand, and fail to believe. Why is it that we are so slow and hard of heart to believe all that Jesus has done and said? Can you not believe based on the miracles themselves? And the greatest miracles of all is the resurrection. Historians and archaeologists and various researchers have studied the resurrection and the empty tomb. There is no doubt the resurrection occurred. There is so much error that needs to be replaced with truth. You are inundated with teaching from denominational persuasions of men, that if you are not in God’s word, relying on the Spirit to reveal truth to you, you have this tendency to hold onto things you think are true. You have heard something so often and so repetitively from people who have this reputation of being a leader or having some seminary degree that you believe what they say. They could be teaching truth, but they could also be teaching error. How do you know? So we are to be those who diligently study the scriptures to see if what someone says is true.

Many people think the ten commandments are a guide for a believer. But if you look into scripture, you come to realize that the law was made for the unbeliever, that they come to the end of the law for righteousness, that they might seek a Savior. It is so important to speak truth in love, for that is how people are set free, with truth. So what hinders us from speaking truth? Is it not fear? And if we fear, where is our attention mostly on? Is it not on ourselves, in what we perceive we might lose or be hurt by others who may not think the same way we do, of the persecution we might receive by not telling the truth? What do you think happened in Nazi Germany, when people were afraid to speak out in truth? There is a time in which when people fail to live in accordance with what is true that freedom is taken away more and more, until before long the consequences are so severe, it is nearly impossible to ever gain your freedom back. What would happen to the black man in the days of slavery if courageous men did not speak the truth and had what were truly peaceful protests back then, unlike what people falsely claim as peaceful protests today, with buildings on fire in the background, yet calling it peaceful. Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?

Do we keep looking for a sign and a wonder but never come to faith in Christ, looking for only those things of this world, that are temporary and do not last? Faith in Jesus Sets the Believer Apart

Synopsis

It is so easy to have errors in your head. All you have to do is be born into this world, in the sin nature of Adam, and be exposed to the god of this world. God wanted to restore our thinking, so it is based on truth, in Him who is truth. But we grow hearing things, even from denominations or whatever church we grew up in. We hear things like, “I am just a sinner saved by grace.” If you are in Christ, is that true? Not according to the word of God, it isn’t. You are a saint who sometimes sins. You have a new identity called a child of God, a saint by calling, in accordance with who you are. So we must hear truth, and allow that truth to dispel error. That is growing in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Truth comes through revelation by the Spirit of God through the word of God.

Jesus is Truth and the Way

Synopsis

It takes time to get wisdom, and that only comes by knowing God, spending time in His word, and learning to ask good questions. A home bible study, or a Zoom meeting with other believers, can be helpful for that. But the group meeting should be organized about the word of God, and focused on getting to know the author. This is not like a book study, where you get information, like you would a history or math book. In those kinds of studies, like you would study in college, you are not trying to get to know the author. You primarily just want to get a grade and a degree. Not so with the bible. You want to know a person, and by knowing that person of Jesus Christ, you get wisdom.

In this day of Coronavirus, with all these lockdowns and censoring going on, more and more people are beginning to see more readily that the church is not a building but people, people who are born again, who have Christ living in them.
