Jesus Wants Your Faith to be in Him

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P593 (12-11-20)

Synopsis

We all struggle in growing in Christ, learning how to overcome worry and all kinds of sin, and how to make wise decisions in those difficult things of life. Much of our struggle is because we are leaning on our understanding, trying to work things out in the energy of our flesh, or are focusing, not on Christ, but our circumstances and surroundings, and letting the voice of the world crowd out truth. Our mind has drifted from focusing on Christ to the thinking and pattern of the world.

It also takes time to grow. When you first come to Christ, it seems hard to navigate through the word of God and through the things you hear. You may not have the discernment yet to know what is right and what is wrong or what is the better choice. At times, you just do not know the truth, or lack the wisdom from God to know how to proceed. Yes, it is good to hear from mature believers in the Lord, to help you out. But ultimately, any human being can misguide you, because they may not know the truth … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is God in the Flesh and Forgave Us

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P14 (11-03-20)

Synopsis

Jesus came to give us understanding of ourselves, that we are dead and in need of life. He showed us what true living is, what man was designed to look when he had the Spirit of God living in him. He did this by living like us, as a man, emptying himself of His divineatrobuutes, so that we, who are not God may know what it looks like. He did so that we might recognize our own righteousness and want His. He did this so that once the holy Spirit is given to men, they too can live in the same way he did. We do not do this imitating His action but by imitating His faith, His total dependence upon His Father. Jesus said He did nothing on His own initiative, but only did what He saw His Father doing and He did what His Father told Him to say and how to say it.

Now, being a human being with a human spirit, dead to God but alive to this world, Jesus explained things in terms we could understand. He explained spiritual truth in physical terms … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Wicked Lost Will Not Inherit the Kingdom of God

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P540 (05-29-20)

Synopsis

In this day and age of the Coronavirus, and various events going on in the political realm, people have asked even today, what needs to be done to stop these evil or deceived people who are pushing for this one world government? What should pastors do? Even in Bob’s lifetime, people called in asking the same question. First of, if you are a pastor, or any born again believer for that matter, do not get side-tracked from your primary purpose, and that is to proclaim the gospel. All of these events we continue to see happening are certainly signs of the end times and preparation for what we know is prophesied in Revelation. The greatest avenue we have, each citizen of the United States, is to exercise our voting rights. If you are in Christ, then you need to ask for wisdom from God, so your vote is in accordance with understanding and discernment, for Jesus even told us to not let anyone deceive you. And, we are certainly instructed to pray for all those in authority over us that we may live peaceable and quiet lives.

But to put … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Faith Says Thank You to God

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P15 (11-20-19)

Synopsis

Have you ever tried to share the gospel with those who have been taught from their traditions hundreds of years? How hard it is to tell someone that everything they have been taught is wrong! So many people today are still approaching righteousness with God based on what they do. This is the same thing Paul faced sharing truth with the Jewish people. They claimed they believed in Moses and have Abraham as their father. The Jews took offense at the fact that the Gentiles, the heathen, idol worshiping Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have received righteousness, and yet they, who work at obeying the law, have not received righteousness from God. Why not? They pursued a righteousness as if by works of the law and not by faith.

So Paul appeals to the Jews, those of his own race and upbringing, to consider what Abraham believed? Abraham believed God and his faith was credited to him as righteousness, and that before the law was given, before he was even circumcised. In those days, circumcision is not unlike baptism of today. It was a sign of someone’s faith. The sign … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
