Bob George shares the meaning of God’s word as truth has been revealed to him by the Spirit of God. Jesus spoke truth to men, the meaning of God’s word, but the religious did not understand. There was no room in their heart for truth. The religious Jews studied the scriptures, knew what the word of God said, and even memorized much of the Old Testament, but rejected truth when they heard it from Jesus. Why were they looking for a way to kill Jesus? No room for his word. These are religious people. There are people who know the word of God from beginning to end, and in many cases, had most of the Old Testament memorized. Jesus said to them , “You have no room for my word in your heart.”
When a person leans on their own understanding, then they do not listen to whatever anyone else says that is contrary to what they have been taught from their traditions and practices since their youth.
