What About 1 John 1:9 ?

~ The core meaning of biblical confession is to agree with God, NOT to ask for forgiveness. This understanding is rooted in the Greek word for confession, homologeō, which literally means “to say the same thing as another” or “to assent.”

Key Tenets of Biblical Confession

  • Agreement, Not Petition: Confession is an act of agreeing with God about a situation, primarily acknowledging the reality of one’s sin and, more importantly, acknowledging the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
  • Total Forgiveness: Because of Christ’s sacrifice, forgiveness for all sins (past, present, and future) is a complete and established fact. Asking for forgiveness is viewed as undermining the sufficiency of that single, finished work on the cross. We are to thank Him for the forgiveness that was provided at the cross.
  • Interpretation of 1 John 1:9: The passage “If we confess our sins…” is not interpreted as a conditional if that must be met for God to grant forgiveness. Rather, based on the Greek grammatical structure, it speaks to whether or not a believer chooses to agree with the fact that God has already forgiven and cleansed them.

The Holy Spirit is Required for Understanding ALL TRUTH

~ “However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.” John 16:13

~ Today, there are people that actually elevate the King James Translation higher than the original language words of God. They act as though Jesus spoke in KJ English to the people. Here’s the thing folks, all bibles we have today are translations. Everyone of them. And thus there is only one way to know Truth, it must be revealed by the Spirit of Truth, God Himself. If a person truly has the Spirit of God living in them, they will begin to understand the Truth of the word of God no matter which translation is being used. Now that isn’t to say there are not any errors in the translations, but the Holy Spirit will point those things out to you as you allow Him to teach you all Truth. Jesus Wants to Give You Life

He Who Has Jesus Living in Them, Has Life That is Eternal

~ “And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13

~ Salvation is when a person receives the Life of the Holy Spirit. Placing Faith in Jesus, God in the flesh, who died on the cross to take away the sins of the world (which includes them), and was raised again on the third day in order to give us His Life for ALL eternity. When a person receives (accepts) Jesus, for who He is, God, the person becomes born again of the Spirit of God for ALL eternity.

Most Who Claim to be in Christ Today are Not in Christ

~ “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.” Galatians 5:22-26

~ Most people have a wrong understanding of the gospel. They think getting their sins forgiven is the gospel, and that is NOT the gospel. Jesus took away everyone’s sins away at the cross and is no longer counting anyone’s sins against them. And the reason He did that is so He could give Life to everyone that places Faith in Him. Most understand a lie of the gospel. Most believe they get their sins forgiven when they ask for forgiveness from God. But that is a lie of Satan, of more forgiveness being given out by God, that is spread throughout most Christian ministries and churches today. It’s no difference than a Catholic going back to the confession booth, or a Protestant using the wrong interpretation of 1 John 1:9 for ongoing forgiveness.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Present With The Lord

When A Saint’s Physical Body Dies, He Never Dies, and Is Absent From that Body and Present With the Lord

~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

~ The apostle Paul was crystal clear on teaching that a child of God, those who are in Christ Jesus, those who have the Holy Spirit living in them, those that are born again of the Spirit of God, they are absent from the body and present with the Lord when their physical body dies. A child of God, a Saint of God, a son of God, ALL refer to those who are True children of God, and when their physical bodies die, they get a new Spiritual body immediately, and go into the presence of Jesus in glorified New bodies that will never perish.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Fellowship is Two Fellows in the Same Ship

In Christ Jesus We Are Always in The Fellowship!

~ “God, who has called you into FELLOWSHIP with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

~ “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have FELLOWSHIP with us. And this FELLOWSHIP of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3

~ When a person becomes born again of the Holy Spirit of God, they enter a new Life, that is always in fellowship with God. Once a person is saved by the Life of God, the Holy Spirit will never leave a person no matter what. Nothing can separate us from His Love for us, and in us. For we have God living in us. And when we have God living in us, He begins the process of renewing our mind. He shows us the Truth of His Word. He instructs us on the lies of the world. And through this whole process, he never counts our sins against us. For He took away all our sins at the cross.
