Jesus is Our Salvation

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P43 (12-06-23)

Build Your Foundation on Jesus, The Rock

~ Jesus is the Rock of our salvation. Jesus is our everything. Jesus tells us to obey the word of God, believe on Him, Jesus, God in flesh, and build our salvation on him and him alone. So many people are out there building their foundation on their flesh. They think God is pleased with them when they do something in the flesh that appears to be good. But here is the thing, the motive for doing things in the flesh is actually Not good. It is evil to God. That right there is difficult for some people to accept. Why? Because they are out there performing in their flesh and they feel proud of what they are doing. They think to themselves that they are better than others. They even compare themselves to others. Some who are really into religion are proud of their religion too. They think their religion is what true Christianity really is. They put Mary or even the Apostles on a pedestal and worship them instead of worshiping God. They listen to the teaching of man instead of God. They … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Will Say, Away From Me You Evil Doers

Classic Christianity – Book of Hebrews P42 (12-05-23)

Jesus, God is Going to Say to Lots of People, “Away From Me, You Evildoers!”

~ All these people that are going around, making it look like they are working for Jesus, God is going to tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” For there are many many people today that look all good from the outside, but God is looking at the heart. They are proud of what they are doing for God. They think that is what God is pleased with. They don’t have a clue what faith is, nor do they even understand what abiding in the Spirit is all about. And the reason they don’t understand it, is because they are not saved. They do not have the Holy Spirit living in them.

Now people get all defensive about the spiritual person judging all things, as if they think Matthew 7:1,2 is talking about God judging us if we judge others. That is the furthest thing from the truth. The word of God is simply saying that if you judge others, people too will judge you with the same measure. So what in … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is the Gospel Warning

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P669 (09-09-21)

Hold on to What is Unshakeable and True, Christ Alive Living in You

As you go through life experiences and reflect on life, there are more and more questions that you ask. You never stop growing. If you escaped the horrors of Vietnam or World War II, or had to start all over after the devastation of a tornado or a hurricane, even losing a loved one, you may have asked many questions while trying to hold onto whatever you can call life. Common questions asked are “Where is God?” or “Why is there such evil in this world?” or “Why did God allow this to happen?”

There are all kinds of people in this world who face all kinds of challenges in life. Maybe you have not experienced love or grace in a church environment, unlike others you hear about who seem to just express how much they just love their church family. Others have grown up without a father for their mother had to flee from an abusive husband as far away as she could to a place of safety. They had to leave a loving supporting church family … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Vine and Branches

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P28 (04-12-21)

Synopsis

So we are to avoid those who teach things contrary to sound doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ. Instead, we are to rely on the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, to reveal truth to our innermost being, so we can walk in the newness of life. For it is for freedom that Christ set us free. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Does your heart yearn to know the truth? Consider the parables of the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the prodigal son. What do these stories tell us about the heart of God, His love and acceptance of us, His compassion and understanding of us in our weak and dead condition. He seeks out the sinner that he might restore him back to Himself. Such is the love of God. Indeed, we love because He first loved us. He initiated His love to us first, and we respond to that love.

So the Holy Spirit teaches us about the love of God, that we may walk as Jesus did. Jesus walked in perfect love. God is Spirit, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Repentance is a Change of Mind

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P615 (03-11-21)

Synopsis

Sometimes we get bogged down in our daily lives, being bombarded with legalism or teaching that just weighs us down. The day to day mundane things we do just seems to weigh us down at times. But to know that the time we ourselves get alone with the Lord, letting Him teach us the meaning of the word of God, and see the work God is doing in us. Then, as we simply share truth that has been revealed to us, that truth not only changes our own lives, but it overflows into the lives of others. That makes living so worthwhile.

Listen as Bob George shares with a young seminary student getting bogged down in his studies in theology that seems to distract him from being taught by the Holy Spirit. At times even, incorrect teaching is being told him, and he also feels this push towards legalism. Bob shares truth with him to help him to keep focused on being taught of the Holy Spirit. He reminds him of some basic foundational truths, on what salvation is, and clarification on the meaning of 1 John 1:9, and refers … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P37 (01-18-21)

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?

Do we keep looking for a sign and a wonder but never come to faith in Christ, looking for only those things of this world, that are temporary and do not last? Do we look beyond the physical miracle and see that the greater miracle is when someone comes … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
