Many times people want to go get “higher learning” in the area of bible study. So they up and go to seminary, and end up trusting in man to teach them the meaning of the word of God instead of trusting in the Holy Spirit, alive, living in the believer. The bible is unique in that we read the word of God to learn more about Jesus. Yet people refuse to come to Jesus for life. Join Bob George as he addresses these topics and others on the air.

The first caller, Bobby called from San Diego California, after coming to a proper understanding the forgiveness message. Yet, he was going to a bible college and felt like his life was becoming more legalistic under the teachings of men.

Bob shares with him some stories in regards to seminary vs that of being taught by the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us what the word of God means. With so much religion talk in the world today, including that of Christianity, there is a teaching in both Catholic and Protestant churches that you have to keep going back to God to get your sins forgiven. The Catholic goes to the confession booth to a priest and the Protestant goes to their own virtual confession booth and continually asks for forgiveness of sins. These people are making a mockery of the cross. They have never repented in their understanding of what Jesus did on the cross for them. They keep pushing Jesus back up there and asking Jesus for what He has already done. Many many people refuse to believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Join Bob George as he answers these questions and others on the air.

Understanding The Reality of The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Join Bob George as he begins a new study on “A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection.”

The cross was were we were reconciled to God, but the resurrection is for LIFE.

Yes Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Yet the average professing Christian is saying. “There is nothing abundant about my life. I know my sins are forgiven and that I am going to heaven, but what about today! I still experience doubts, fears, frustrations, and defeat. Surely there must be something more to this Christian life.”

There is and it comes from understanding the fullness of the gospel. Most people when asked, “What is your understanding of the gospel?” respond, “Christ died for my sins.” This is only part of the gospel. Christ was also raised from the dead, and it is through His resurrection that we see the full gospel. The full gospel can be summed up like this:

Jesus Christ gave His life for us;
so that He could give His life to us;

Have You Understood the Complete Gospel in All Its Fullness?

Many times people have heard a gospel as merely getting your sins forgiven. To have your sins forgiven is a necessary part of the gospel to be given, but it is at best a partial gospel. Yes, it is good news to know that your sins are forgiven. But as good as that is, to know your sins are forgiven and that there is no more sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10:16-18, 1 John 2:2 NASB), the full and complete gospel is that God sent Jesus to die for your sins in order to give you new life through His resurrection, to live His life in and through you. True salvation is not merely getting your sins forgiven but the receiving of new spiritual life in you, God’s life.

Romans 5:10
10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Getting Common Questions Answered; Receiving Forgiveness of Sins that Has Already Been Done by Jesus; What About the Rapture and Cremation; Why Is the World Getting Worse; How Do You Introduce the Gospel to People

Many times people call the radio program to get clarification on this topic of forgiveness because wherever they go they hear so much on this interpretation on 1 John 1:9, that says that when you sin you must confess your sin to stay in fellowship with God. They may have also heard it said that you need to keep short accounts with God, so as soon as you sin you need to confess that sin to get forgiveness from God. Some pastors will call that parental or experiential sin in contrast to those positional sins that Jesus forgave at the cross so we can have this so-called positional standing with God.

All of this is double-talk, not in accordance with the meaning of the word of God, in conflict with so many other passages of scripture that clearly explain what Jesus accomplished on the cross. I once heard someone born in England once say that anyone born in America is a Christian. Some people think that if you go to church then you are a Christian? What do people really mean when they ask if you are a Christian? Are they really just asking to see if you are a good person, towing the line of expectations of men? That you go to a denomination that they approve as the one true church? I have heard Mormons say they are Christians too? I have heard Catholics say they are Christians too? Regardless of the denomination, sitting in a church does not make you a Christian any more than sitting in a hen house makes you a chicken. And who is Jesus to you? Is he merely a political leader? Is he just a prophet like other prophets? Was he just a good and noble man who was martyred for a just cause?
