Abide in The Holy Spirit, If The Spirit Lives in You!

~ Once we come to Jesus by faith, then the Holy Spirit is alive living in us. We are told to walk by the Spirit so as do not follow the desires of the flesh. It doesn’t say the desires of the flesh will go away. It says for us to place our focus on the Spirit, for we have the mind of God living in us, if we are in Christ Jesus. We are told to depend on the Spirit. Our flesh counts as nothing. And furthermore, this body of flesh is not going to inherit the kingdom of God. So we are told to count ourselves dead to the flesh and once again focus on the Spirit.

~ “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

~ “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The New Covenant is New

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P841 (06-08-23)

We Are Under a New Covenant Today! Exercise Faith.

~ There are a great number of pastors and teachers today that are teaching legalism in one form or another. An indicator is they teach error in teaching tithing is for today. They will cherry pick the old testament scriptures, attempting to make people feel guilty about not paying tithes, as though tithing is for today. Tithing was old covenant. We live in a new covenant today. The tithe was set up to support the old covenant Levitical priesthood. Today, we have a new priest, Jesus Christ, one that lives forever. So legalistic pastors and teachers will still push the tithe yet forget about all the other aspects of the law. The teaching of tithing for today is an indicator of what these people really believe and teach. Get away from these legalistic corrupt teachers, stop listening to them, stop giving to them (exercise faith) because it says, they have a perverted corrupt mind of those that teach godliness is a means to financial gain.

~ “If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Sent His Holy Spirit

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P54 (06-07-23)

The Day You Were Born Again, You Received God’s Holy Spirit!

~ The Day of Pentecost spoken of in the book of Acts (fifty days after Jesus’ resurrection was the first Pentecost). Prior to that date nobody was born again of the Spirit of God. That’s important for us to understand, because that marks the day the whole world changed for Man. We should be jumping for joy, and realizing we are a new creature in Christ Jesus when we each had our day of Pentecost! The apostles certainly became aware of something different in their lives on that very day. They also became BOLD in the Spirit of God!

~ “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:” Acts 2:14

~ “Now turn over the book of Acts, next page over. In chapter two, the Holy Spirit came. And he came upon the disciples. He came to live within them the day that salvation was now complete, the Cross had already occurred.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Woe to Teachers of the Law

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P53 (06-06-23)

Are You Telling it Like it Is? Are You in Christ Jesus?

~ Today, there are lots of milquetoast “Christians” that don’t tell it like it is. They are either afraid of their place in their flesh, or maybe they are not saved in the first place. Our attitude should be that of Christ Jesus, if the Holy Spirit is alive living in the person today. Jesus told it like it is to those that thought they knew it all. He spoke to those that were dead with what the Father told him to say. Today, if you are in Christ Jesus, you have the same Holy Spirit living in you too. Allow Him to tell it like it is through you!

~ “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” Matthew 23:27,28

Take Off The Grave Clothes

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P52 (06-05-23)

Take Off The Grave Clothes!

~ Many people today are walking around with their old grave clothes hanging on to them. They live as though they are still under the law, pretending, being hypocrites that they are somehow obeying the law of God. They have one foot in the law and the other foot in grace, trying to straddle both sides of the fence, holding on to the old grave clothes.

~ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11:44

~ “The purpose of the law was a mirror to show me my face is dirty. But you cannot wash your face in a mirror. You use the mirror to identify your condition. And then you turn to Christ Jesus for the cleansing, do you not? You don’t go to a wash rag to see if your face is dirty. You go to a mirror, you go to the wash rag to cleanse your face. And so the law was given as a reflection, the law was given to show you that you’re a sinner.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Be Born Free

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P840 (06-02-23)

The Holy Spirit Comes to Live in You Immediately When You Are Born Again

~ There are some people today that believe and teach they get the Holy Spirit sometime later after they are born again. The misunderstanding in that they don’t understand what being born again is in the first place, and also a misunderstanding of being baptist with the Spirit of God, of being placed into the body of Christ Jesus when a person is born again of the Spirit of God.

~ “You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” Romans 8:9

~ “You cannot be born again, unless you’re born again of the Spirit, can you in other words, you must be born of the Spirit of God. And the scripture says, If the Spirit of God does not live in you, you don’t belong to Him. So how does the Spirit of God come to live within you with the Spirit of God indwells you at the time that you receive Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
