What is Faith? How to Know You are Saved in Christ Jesus

~ So many times, people don’t have a proper understanding of what salvation really is. Many people think salvation is getting your sins forgiven to begin with the first time they ask for it. Others think salvation is simply believing in Christ Jesus. Others think salvation is doing some sort of works or daily things to get salvation and maintain salvation. It’s a difficult thing to grasp with some people, because they want to maintain their idea of salvation by asking for forgiveness of their sins to begin with, and then maintain their salvation with ongoing asking for forgiveness over and over again as both Catholics in the confession booths and Protestants in their virtual confession booths erroneously do.

We are told in Scripture that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. And we are also told that salvation is receiving the Life of Christ, through the Holy Spirit coming to indwell a person when they place faith in Jesus and the finished work He did on the cross for them personally.

The Lord’s Supper is a Picture of Being Joined Together in Christ Jesus as the Body of Christ Here on Earth

~ Now we talked about in 1st Corinthians 10:16 and 17. And what it says is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks for participation in the blood of Christ, in other words, the life of Christ. And is not the bread that we break up participation in the body of Christ, because there’s one loaf we who are many are one body, for we all partake of that one loaf. And so in this scripture we talked about last week, that’s what truly that’s what the Lord’s Supper when it is done properly, is all about, it’s showing a single loaf. The ecclesia is a Greek word meaning a called-out assembly or called out ones of people. It’s also important to understand that “church” is not a building on the corner of walk and don’t walk. Are Tongues for Today? What is Happening With the Churches in the Book of Revelation? Becoming one With Your Wife.

~ We hear so much error being taught in churches today, that without having a proper understanding of the word of God in the proper context of things, we can make up a whole false doctrine that spreads confusion throughout the church itself. One of those items is speaking in tongues. There are denominations that are built upon this idea that you have to speak in tongues. Yet, what what would happen if you couldn’t speak? But here is the main thing to consider, tongues was a known language. Why would God want gibberish to be spoken today, in an assembly, if everyone in the assembly spoke the same language to begin with? Yet there are assemblies that go around speaking gibberish and it doesn’t even match up to any known language. Bob goes into more insights in this particular subject that is very important for today.
