Understanding Our Identification of Being in Christ Jesus

In today’s lesson, Bob gives an example of marriage and the identification we have when we are married vs that of being a single person. Many times people get married, and they still maintain the attitude of singleness in their head. They take the attitude of not considering the needs of the mate, and only worry about their own self.

How does this relate to being married to Jesus? Well, when we understand what Jesus did for the church, that He loves us perfectly, and that He serves us with love and grace in our time of need, then we likewise, when in a marriage also, we can serve one another in love when you have two people who are in Christ Jesus themselves. They have oneness in a marriage where both are in Christ Jesus.

Everyone in Christ Jesus He Calls Us His Brothers and Sisters!

We are continuing in our study of a Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ. Bob continues the teaching in sharing a key part of the understanding that not only did we receive a full inheritance as a child of God in Christ Jesus, but that Jesus also inherited us. Now, that is just amazing, the Love that God has for us, to call us sons and daughters of God. We who are in Christ Jesus, are the brothers and sisters of Jesus himself. We are part of His family, and He inherited us!

Hebrews 2:11
¹¹ Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.

God Has Made You Holy (Set Apart) Forever in the Sight of God in Christ Jesus

The original words of Scripture such as (sanctified and holy) are important to understand. If our understanding of the words written in the Scriptures are wrong, we will have a wrong understanding of God. God made us holy. He set us apart for all those in Christ Jesus. You can’t make yourself holy anymore than you could redeem yourself. God is the one who did it all for you. He set you apart for His purpose. Now rejoice in that. Thank God for that. Be who you are, set apart. Quit calling God a liar by continually asking for what He has already done, and instead rejoice in all aspects of your new Identity in Christ Jesus. Thank God for who He has made you to be!

Get Victory Over Depression With Jesus Christ and The Renewal of Your Mind

There as so many times we get in a funk, and think the weight of the world is on our shoulders, and we start thinking in fear and despair of what is going to happen tomorrow or how something that we have no control over is going to turn out. We worry to the point that get so fearful that it messes up with our proper thinking. We then start thinking more of these depressing thoughts and that leads to more fear and more despair, which leads to more depression. It’s a downward spiral that we have to get out of. Offer Our Body as a Living Sacrifice, Serving Others in Love in What the Lord Would Have Each of Us Do

When we serve the Lord, we are serving one another in Love. Each member of the body serves the other members of the body of Christ Jesus. Since God is alive living in us, through the Holy Spirit, He instructs and guides each member to do what He would have that member of the body do for the other members of the body of Christ. Not all members of the body of Christ do the same thing. Each has been instructed to do the job assigned for them to do. Additionally, we have been given gifts and not all have the same gifts, and likewise each of us is a gift to the body of Christ. So we are told not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought to. Listen in as Bob shares these truths.
