How to Live by Faith

We often hear stories that when a person comes to Christ Jesus, and becomes a believer, that everything will be peaches and cream in their life. There are people that will teach you all kinds of lies in regards to worldly wealth or think and grow rich, as though Jesus is the name it and claim it, the go to God for everything in this life to be happy, wealthy and wise, and everyone will just love you for being a Christian. However, if a person is a witness for Christ Jesus, they may face persecution from the world. But fear not, for Jesus who is alive living in you, is greater than he that is in the world.

The first caller, Bob called from Denver Colorado. He became a Christian and lost all of his secular friends. He also lost a job, due to timing issues. He was feeling a bit down and wanted to be pointed in the right direction with some scripture verses.

Many times people want to go get “higher learning” in the area of bible study. So they up and go to seminary, and end up trusting in man to teach them the meaning of the word of God instead of trusting in the Holy Spirit, alive, living in the believer. The bible is unique in that we read the word of God to learn more about Jesus. Yet people refuse to come to Jesus for life. Join Bob George as he addresses these topics and others on the air.

The first caller, Bobby called from San Diego California, after coming to a proper understanding the forgiveness message. Yet, he was going to a bible college and felt like his life was becoming more legalistic under the teachings of men.

Bob shares with him some stories in regards to seminary vs that of being taught by the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us what the word of God means. With Jesus, Forgiveness is Finished – Quit Making a Public Disgrace of the Cross by Asking for More Forgiveness From God

With so much religion talk in the world today, including that of Christianity, there is a teaching in both Catholic and Protestant churches that you have to keep going back to God to get your sins forgiven. The Catholic goes to the confession booth to a priest and the Protestant goes to their own virtual confession booth and continually asks for forgiveness of sins. These people are making a mockery of the cross. They have never repented in their understanding of what Jesus did on the cross for them. They keep pushing Jesus back up there and asking Jesus for what He has already done. Many many people refuse to believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Join Bob George as he answers these questions and others on the air.

What is the Meaning of the Resurrection?

Many times a person will tell you that the meaning of Jesus’ death on the cross was for forgiveness, but when you ask a person the meaning of the resurrection of Jesus, they are likely to give you a blank look on their face. They may say that was what verified that He died on the cross for our sins, yet they don’t have a clue what His resurrection life is all about.

Salvation is life. And, if indeed Christ is not raised from the dead, then our faith is worthless. The resurrection is key for LIFE. The death of Jesus did not provide life. Jesus death provided forgiveness but the resurrected life brings life to you and me through faith in Him.

1 Corinthians 15:17
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

Hebrews 10:17
17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

Romans 5:10
10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Give Thanks, Your Sins Have Been Forgiven

As the Thanksgiving season is here, consider how much we have been freely given. If you are in Christ, you are free. You are free from the law. You are no longer under the law of sin and death, the law with it’s demands that you could never keep. Sin was your master and owner. In Christ, you are no longer a prisoner of the law. You were once locked up until faith should be revealed. Has faith been revealed to you? Can you now call God your Father because you have become a child of God, a new creation in Christ?

Even before the law was given, sin was in the world. All of us were born dead spiritually. The law was powerless to save you nor could it. We were already weak in our natural selves, being dead already. We keep doing what we know we ought not do and we do not do what we know we should. And when we fail, there is guilt under the law. Give Thanks to God in Everything

It is so easy to forget. Paul reminds us again and again to be joyful always. How can we be joyful? First of all, do you have the Spirit of the living God living in you? Yes, you say. Then you are given the privilege of participating in the divine nature, the nature to be joyful. Why? What trust did you have for Christ to do for you? What was the biggest thing God did for you? He died for your sins, and indeed the sins of the entire world. Before you were even born, he demonstrated his love for mankind. He also had you in mind, in that while you were yet his enemy, a sinner, he died for you. He died so that the punishment of death required for sin was paid in full. He would bear the full consequence of that sin, and the sins of the entire world, upon himself, a price too great for you to pay. He did this so that when you came to see your condition of death you would look to him for new life.
