Bob George receives calls from several callers. Monte was specifically asked to come on the program to share his testimony of God’s grace. He had a hard time accepting the grace of God because of his horrible life he lived. He had been caught up in drugs, and in and out of jail, since he was young. He was literally pushing a shopping cart around here in Vancouver at three in the morning trying to get his next fix. Yet when he came to understand the grace of God, and became born again, his life was dramatically changed.

Bob explained how hard it is for people to understand grace. He explained that Romans 7 is the passage of scripture that to him explains grace. Jeff called and is now serving as a pastor, known also as pastor Jay, is now excited sharing the same grace and love of God that changed his life. Ted called to thank Bob for resources that he could share with the soldiers deployed overseas. The materials, particularly Classic Christianity and Victory of Depression, were very much liked by the troops there. Vernon called to express his gratitude for the truth that he now understands, that he is already forgiven and no longer needs to ask God for forgiveness of sins every morning. Bob encouraged her to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. John called for clarification on the meaning of the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6 in regards to forgiveness from God when you do not forgive a brother who offended you. Bob explained that Jesus was teaching in accordance with the Old Covenant that the Jews were still currently under. Christ taught under the Old Covenant and buried us under that covenant while speaking about the New Covenant to come. Today, under the New Covenant, we are now instructed to forgive one another as Christ Jesus forgave you. When Jesus died on the cross, he took away the entire sins of the world, never to be remembered any more. We read from John 5:42, where Jesus spoke to the world, and said, “I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.” Bob George earlier explained that Jesus came to dwell with men so they may see they are dead, without the Holy Spirit living in them, in order that they might hear the words of life and come to Jesus Christ to receive his life. The life that is in Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit of God. Having emptied himself of his divine attributes, Jesus, as God in the flesh, walked on the earth as a man. He lived as a man, showing us how mankind was designed to live, by being total dependent on the Holy Spirit (John 5:19, John 8:28).
