Jesus God The Creator Made All Things

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P03 (02-08-23)

The Word, Jesus Became Flesh

~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

We Are Under the NEW Covenant of Grace Not the Old Covenant of the Law

~ “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” Hebrews 9:15

~ Thank God, He is NOT counting my sins against me!

~ “And we’re told in Hebrews. Let me just read, it’s hard to read when you’re in the wrong chapter, Hebrews 9:15, do you want to turn to it. For this reason He is the mediator of a New Covenant in order that since a death had taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of in eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. So what did Jesus have to do before he got usher in a New Covenant, a new agreement between God and man. Had to die. And when he … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Holy Spirit Reveals the Meaning of the Word of God

~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching [doctrine], for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16

~ It’s so vitally important for us to understand that without the Holy Spirit of God living in us, we cannot understand the meaning of the Word of God.

~ “But what it means has to be taught by the Holy Spirit of God into our lives today. And if we do not depend upon the Spirit to teach us what it means, we are not going to know what it means. Do we know what it says? Absolutely. You can read it and know what it says. A computer knows what the Bible says. Anybody who reads it knows what it says the issue is, what does it mean? Now we’re told in the epistles, that no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor mind is conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love Him. But it must be what? revealed by who? The Spirit. So the Spirit … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Sanctifies Believers Through Truth

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P753 (07-21-22)

Do You Understand What the Word of God Means?

Sometimes as a Christian, we can get frustrated with others or even angry that others do not understand the Word of God as it relates to their living or wanting to do things that are contradictory to the clear teaching of the word of God. Many times, people that we think (assume) are Christians are not Christians, and that is why they do not understand the word of God. They have not been sanctified by the Truth yet. They are not born again believers in Christ Jesus.

Now from our standpoint (those of us who are born again) we get angry with some of those that we may be very close to, and it is because of the fear that creeps into our own being. We react in fear, and lash out in anger, even if it is held inside ourselves when someone doesn’t get what you yourself know is Truth. So, if you see a person that doesn’t understand the word of God, instead of getting angry inside, share Truth with them. Don’t assume a person is saved, for God wants … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Sent the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is Constantly Renewing Your Mind – Teaching You Truth

Simeon prophesied that Jesus will cause the rising and falling of many in Israel, a sign that will be spoken against, so that the hearts of many will be revealed. There is something about mankind, who is born spiritually dead, that he is naturally opposed to truth. Truth sounds as foolishness to him. You can talk about God all day long, and people seem to be okay with that. People talk about all kinds of religions, and people are okay with that too. But once you talk about Jesus or the truth of His word, there is an aversion, a pulling away, or even quite a reaction with false accusations.

In today’s world, hardly anyone wants to hear truth anymore. The bible and prayer have long been kicked out of the public sphere. Situational ethics and evolution have been taught in our schools. Seminaries are teaching things that ought not to be taught. Even bible societies and bible translators are not required to uphold the bible as the inerrant word of God. Jesus warned about this when he spoke about the … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Understanding the Significance of The Birth of Jesus

As you read the familiar story of the account in Luke of the birth and early life of Christ, what grabs your attention? The Spirit continually teaches us through His word, even from passages so familiar to us, as we stop and ponder His word, and ask the Lord to reveal to us what He wants us to see today. When you think of how the Spirit is at work to reveal truth to men, do you see how He works throughout the ages to reveal Himself to men? How has He revealed Himself to you? Today, He has revealed Himself to us by the Son He has given.

What do you think of the shepherds in the fields, who had angels visit them, and then Mary, through whom the angel Gabriel told her of the Spirit to be placed in her, to be called Immanuel, God with us? Then you have the Spirit speak to Simeon about a prophecy from the prophet Micah, that both the Israelites and the Gentiles will be saved the same way, through this small child Jesus, who will be … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
