Church is Not on The Corner of Walk and Dont Walk

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P64 (08-08-22)

Today the Body of Christ is the Body of Believers

~ The church, the ecclesia, the True church is made up of born again believers in Christ Jesus. The church is not on the corner of walk and don’t walk. It is not someplace you go. No one goes to church. Sure we use that term in everyday talk, but the truth of the matter is that the church is all over the earth today, and the Holy Spirit has made us a part of that group, when the Spirit comes to indwell a person, they become part of the body of Christ Jesus.

Just as a person’s physical growth is based on proper diet and exercise, so is the Christians’s spiritual growth dependent on regular feeding upon the word of God and application of its principles. Baptism and the Lords Supper

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P63 (08-03-22)

The Lord’s Supper is a Picture of Being Joined Together in Christ Jesus as the Body of Christ Here on Earth

~ Now we talked about in 1st Corinthians 10:16 and 17. And what it says is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks for participation in the blood of Christ, in other words, the life of Christ. And is not the bread that we break up participation in the body of Christ, because there’s one loaf we who are many are one body, for we all partake of that one loaf. And so in this scripture we talked about last week, that’s what truly that’s what the Lord’s Supper when it is done properly, is all about, it’s showing a single loaf. Well that represented Jesus when he was here, and his bodily form, singular and form could have drawn him could have drawn a picture of him. He said, This is my body, it’s going to be broken for you and he broke that loaf. And he told the apostle don’t told the the believers eat of it. Now when every person … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Does Everyone Have the Same Job in the Body of Christ?

~ We who are in Christ Jesus have been assigned different things to do for the body of Christ. Not everyone is a nose. Not everyone is an eye. Not everyone is a mouth. Each part of the body of Christ has a different function. If we all spoke at the same time, then who would listen?

Just as a person’s physical growth is based on proper diet and exercise, so is the Christians’s spiritual growth dependent on regular feeding upon the word of God and application of its principles. With more false teaching, shifting opinions and general confusion in the world than ever before, Christians need a solid foundation upon which to base their beliefs and build their lives. The word of God declares that Jesus Christ is that foundation of truth. With that in mind, let’s now take A Closer Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity and Bible Studies

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P650 (07-09-21)

Synopsis

At times callers call because they are not quite grasping what they are reading in scripture or what they hear from the pulpit does not seem to make sense anymore. A person usually starts off by saying he believes Jesus died for all my sins, past, present and future, but then wonders if he needs to confess his sins to be sure he dies in a state of grace so he does not lose salvation. That is a person who has not grasped what salvation is. If salvation depends on anything we do to get it or keep it, then it is not salvation.

The only sin attributable to man is the sin of unbelief in what Jesus accomplished for us. Now, just because Jesus died on a cross does not mean everyone is universally saved. No one is saved by the death of Christ, although His death is a necessary part of salvation. Everyone is reconciled to God through the death of God’s Son, something Jesus did 2000 years ago for us, and had nothing to do with what we who are alive today did, for we were not … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Salvation is Eternal Life in Him

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P596 (01-07-21)

Synopsis

So many people call in and ask questions about salvation. They are often confused by what they hear in their particular denomination or various preachers on television. Again, it is so important to rely on the holy spirit to reveal truth to you through the scriptures He has given to us through the prophets and apostles, who were eyewitnesses, when Jesus was alive walking on this earth. Ultimately, that is where truth has to come, from the Spirit of God in Jesus, who Himself is God in the flesh.

So often we hear from people that you can lose your salvation or that you have to do something to keep yourself right with God, or you have to be obedient to the law so as to keep in God’s grace or to do some religious practice to get more grace. All of that is simply not true. If anyone says you can lose your salvation then they do not know what salvation is. If anyone says that salvation depends on what you do then he does not understand salvation. If you are in Christ, you cannot get any more than … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is The First Born of God

Classic Christianity – Christmas P2 (12-22-20)

Synopsis

When you hear again the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, the events that happened prior and the events that followed his birth, what goes on in your mind? What do you ponder? Imagine having seen an angel or heard the voice of an angel speak to you, if you are a young girl, that you will bear a child without having relations with any man, and you are to name your child Jesus, Immanuel, which means “God with us”, and who says “He will cause the rise and fall of many in Israel”, and “a sword will pierce your own soul too”? Would you not ponder all those things in your heart as to what they would all mean?

Should we not also ponder what that all means, to you personally? How is God going to be with us? Is God inside this baby? When this baby grows up and works in the carpenter shop with his earthly step-father, could he really be God? And then, later in life, this now grown man, over 33 years old, is hung on a cross? If you were Mary, and you see your child … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
