Walking in Our Dependency of Love – Jesus is Love

Matthew called in regards to a question he had about Love in the bible study booklet “A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ.”

Bob mentions that once we understand the love of God for us, then we begin to have that same love for others. It’s a process though and a renewing of our mind by Him doing it in and through us.

Understanding the Love of God

  • It’s the love of God,
  • that results in the dependency upon God,
  • that then results in the obedience to God.

Romans 8:38,39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John the second caller called from Atlanta, Georgia. He wanted to know about finances and job hunting.

Bob summed up the answer matter-of-factly, go interview for a job. And, sometimes you may have to interview with a hundred different places before you get one.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Came to Save Sinners

The Saving Life of Jesus Christ – Salvation for Sinners!

Clarence called from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He called about salvation. He said he had lived a hard life, and a life of sin. He wanted know if he could be healed. He wanted to know if he could be saved. He wanted to know if there was any hope for him. He asked the bottom-line question, “Am I earmarked for damnation now? Or is there anyway at this point that I can be saved?”

Bob George Shares the Gospel.

Yes, Clarence you can be saved.

Bob says to the salvation question, “Yes absolutely, God didn’t come to save good people, there aren’t any good people. He only came to save sinners. And in that, we are all well qualified.“

What we need to realize that when Jesus went to a cross 2000 years ago, there, He, Jesus, who knew no sin, literally took upon himself and became sin for the sins of the whole world; back to Adam and forward to eternity, and there He who knew no sin became sin for us so that in His resurrection we could become the righteousness of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is The Righteousness of God - Live by Faith

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P20 (01-12-22)

For in the Gospel the Righteousness of God is Revealed!

“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17

A righteousness that is by faith from first to last! Do you believe it? Or, are you still trying to live in the energy of the flesh? Here’s the thing folks, you are never ever going to get that flesh cleaned up. It rears it’s ugly head time and time again. The things I don’t want to do, I do and the things I want to do, I don’t do. You can’t carry it out. Paul found this out for himself. He found out that there was nothing good in his flesh. Every time he thought about himself, he realized that that was the flesh talking to him. The flesh loves me, myself and I. It focuses on self. And it loves self righteousness.

Paul explained to the Philippians, that he himself had reasons for such confidence (in the flesh) though he put No confidence at all in his flesh.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Allow the Holy Spirit to Teach You

If you have the Holy Spirit of God, alive living in you, then you have the ability to understand all truth. The Holy Spirit is our teacher today. Yes, man can help guide you, and the church has been given teachers, but don’t place your faith in what a man says. He could be lying to you or teaching you error knowingly or unknowingly. We are told, that those in Christ Jesus have the mind of Christ living in them.

So as you go along in the bible study guides, allow the Spirit of God to renew your mind in truth. Don’t rush through them, it is not a race to see how many questions you can answer, but they are designed to walk you through the word of God in context. The questions are in the context of the subject matter, and so they are to be thought about in the context of the New Covenant that we now are under.

We encourage you to pick up your bible study guides today and go through them and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you the truth of the word of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Promised the Holy Spirit

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P18 (01-10-22)

We Live by Faith Not by Sight

The way we live the Christian life is by faith, not sight. Most all believers look forward to being at home with Jesus, but while we are here, God has a mission for us. He has given us a ministry of the Holy Spirit for each of us. Now that ministry of the Holy Spirit is not doing things in the flesh. The flesh is that which rears it’s ugly head from time to time, and we think we are doing something good based on our own understanding of things. Or, that which makes us really feel good inside (because it is something “we” ourselves are doing), yet it may not be something the Holy Spirit would have you do.

Understanding our rewards given to believers is based on what we have allowed the Holy Spirit to do in and through us. Giving a cup of water. Or sharing a word of God to a person hurting. Comforting a stranger with a kind word. The things that as we are led by the Holy Spirit to do will stand the test of time.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Understanding the New Covenant

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P698 (01-07-22)

Understanding the New Covenant vs the Old Covenant

Marriage and divorce are topics of conversation that come up for Christians many times as being held as a hammer over someone’s head, especially if they are or have been divorced. Yet it’s so vitally important to put things in the proper perspective. Divorce, marriage and remarriage in the New Covenant vs divorce, marriage and remarriage under the Old Covenant are items that need to be addressed and placed in the proper context. First off, we need to understand which side of the cross we live under right now, and also to understand that Jesus taught under the Old Covenant of the law. He taught that because He needed to bury us under it completely. Only Jesus could and did obey the law. We can not obey it.

The first caller, Michael called from Atlanta Georgia. He called about marriage and divorce.

Bob explains the New Covenant and points out that we live on the New Testament side of the cross. We live in the New Covenant. We live under a new will of God. The old Covenant was the law, and no one could obey the law.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
