Synopsis

Truth is so important to grab a hold of so you can walk in the way God intended. On today’s program, two callers called, that highlight how when truth is not understood or grasped, you are unable to walk in the new life God has given you. There are those people who will not think it worthwhile to hold onto truth, and have been deceived by the thinking of the world, and are lost. Sometimes people call in on behalf of a son or daughter or granddaughter who has been ensnared, and are asking for counsel in how to reach their loved ones with truth. Then there are those who have not quite grasped what salvation is, and because of their faulty thinking, such as the fear of losing salvation, they are unable to walk in true freedom.

Glenn asked a simple question but really opened up to expose a more serious problem in his belief system. For many years he was enslaved in fear and depression over guilt over a past sin of fornication. Bob graciously helped guide him to truth so he could walk in new freedom. The older you get, you will be at a funeral of a mother or father or close friend. That is a part of life. That was not God’s design for people to die. That came about when the first created beings sinned, and so sin and death entered the world.

But, God, out of His deep love for us, provided a solution so that we can be raised to new life in Him. If you grasp the depth of His love for you, of His taking away your cause of death, called sin, then you can appreciate the cross. For you realize how depraved and hopeless you are, and have come to grips that not only are you a sinner, but you are separated from your creator, who loves you so much. When you realize He died to take away your sins, and then rose again so you can freely come to Him, to receive new life, His life you were unable to live. Synopsis

God has made Himself known to all men through His Son, in how He lived and in what He has done. The Spirit has gone into all the world. There is nowhere His voice has not been heard. God the Father sent His only Son into this world and the Holy Spirit revealed the Son to men, as the one whom He claimed to be, God, and God is Spirit. Those who worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Jesus came to proclaim truth into the hearts of men, truth about themselves, their sinful condition, their condition of spiritual death, and about their need of life and that life is the life that is in Christ, who is eternal life. If you have the Son, you have that life. So He is not far from any one of you. His Spirit is drawing all men unto Himself. Will you believe the message and receive new life in Christ Jesus?

Synopsis

If you were to visit Israel, you would see the Sea of Galilee, and those places recorded in the scriptures where Jesus had been, on the boat with Peter, and who had walked with Peter, James and John. Here is God in the flesh. Would you have recognized him as God? He claimed to be God, but he looks like just one of us, human. We know his father and mother, Joseph and Mary. Well, Joseph was assumed to be his father. We also know his younger brothers. How hard it must have been for them in those days to know Jesus is God unless there was also additional evidence that he is. Let us explore further the evidence of his claims to be God.

Still today, people will scoff at that, those things Jesus said concerning himself. “How can a mere man claim to be God?” The truth is, he is not a mere man, and he was born from a virgin, so His Father truly is God, and Joseph is really like a step father to him while he walked on the earth. Synopsis

It is so important to know what salvation is, the condition of man under sin and death and in need of new life. This life is the Spirit of god to be placed into man, and has to come by receiving the offer of new life that Christ has now offered to all men, having died on a cross to take away the sins of the entire world and raised from the dead so as to always live to intercede for you. This salvation is not choosing the you’s and me’s but to whosoever believes in Him, both the Jew and the Gentile, to be saved the same way, by faith alone in what Christ Jesus alone accomplished for you.

As you look into the scriptures, there is no doubt that Jesus is who he claimed to be, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the promised Messiah, the “I am”, the one who said “I and the Father are one” and “if you have seen me, you have seen the Father.”. Synopsis

As you read the scriptures, there are some passages you find that are just difficult to understand, particularly passages in Ezekiel and Revelation. In such cases, all you can say is, “I do not know”, and that is okay. There are those things, like in Ezekiel, that can be considered interpretive speculation as to what they represent. Unless it is spelled out in detail that this is what it represents, it is just speculation. It is best to just hold onto those passages that are clear, that you know is true.

The most important message to understand from the scriptures, and the scriptures are very clear on this, is the gospel, the message of good news that Jesus tells us in order to enter heaven. I would not advise asking someone whether they believe in heaven or hell, but rather ask them if you ever discovered knowing Christ in a personal way. That is what they really need to be able to come to have an answer from the scriptures.

Oftentimes, people hesitate to share truth someone needs to hear, thinking that actions speak louder than your words. Although actions are important, the real issue that a lost person is facing is that he is hurting inside, and that hurt can only be solved and comforted by Christ Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
